Having just experienced my own personal trainwreck in terms of the 'I'm waiting until marriage line' I am wondering if the majority of those choosing to do so only consider intercourse to count as sex. I've always considered anything beyond kissing as sex. Maybe times have changed?

Anything below the belt - and under the bra, unless it involves feeding offspring - could be classified as sex.

IMHO.

I used to want to wait. I changed my mind.

Anyway, I considered anything involving genital-mucous membrane contact sex (so oral, anal, and vaginal sex). I did not consider petting sex.

That being said, if you crossed your "sex" line, you crossed your sex line. Time to get back on the wagon or adapt.

I'm mid-twenties, and have a far more inclusive definition of "sex" than most of my peers, if you want to gauge what other populations think.

A rather large (uncomfortably so) percentage of young people these days seem to think that oral and anal sex "don't count" and that you can remain a virgin while engaging in those activities. While that might be true in letter, it certainly isn't in spirit and the attitude can (and does) lead to unsafe sex practices.
