remid Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Well, I'm French, I moved to CA about a year ago with my girlfriend and we broke up a few months ago. I'm now going back to dating but I'm still missing self confidence... anyway, I've always been pretty shy. So, my problem is not to get dates but to take the step forward... When I'm dating a girl, I just don't know how to make the first move. I'm just talking and don't try anything to make her understand that I'm interested. I keep on taking my distance... it's killing me and I just don't know what to do... Any advice is more than welcome!
zenith Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 you're French and you don't know how to make a first move on a girl????? this is ridiculous!
Author remid Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 Come on, not all the French people can fit the cliche!
zenith Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 how about some friendly teasing, moving closer and physical contact?
JennaGennaro Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Sorry you and your GF split up. Living in California (not sure if you are in Southern California or not) can have its challenges. I have heard from a lot of men about how lucky my husband is to have found me, asking if I have sisters or friends for them, because it is hard to meet women. I'm sure your accent gets you dates, though. Most women (myself included) are very attracted to a guy with an accent. Once you have the date, be polite and courteous and read her body language. Smile a lot. You would not believe how little people smile these days. Give lots of eye contact. Touch her back when guiding her. Casually brush up against her.
