RunAway88 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Because it amuses me to do so. I know for fact that you're not my type. Your attitude says it all. My attitude shows an intelligent man who doesn't get suckered in by women. Since I had sex aged 16, I have always knew that's the only thing a woman can offer me, I don't need their drama or their hand in marriage, just sex. Women to me are my personal plaything. I have sex with them and discard them when I get bored. It's a fantastic life to lead, though you make a lot of foes.
Trialbyfire Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Learn to generate your own attention. Okay, then we agree, particularly this component. Some people can walk into a room and immediately, all eyes are on them. They might be very attractive or not. Why? Something to consider.
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I am only about 5'9 on a good day. all my freinds are 6'0 to 6'6 Not only do I feel like a little kid around them but it seems like all they get all the attention from women. I'm not a bad looking guy. I would even say Im down right good looking when I try. but If I hang around most of my freinds they always get the attention. they are not any better looking than me so it seems like it has to be their height. So ladies I need you to be honest even if it's not what I want to hear. how important is height to you? and am I at all justified in thinking it is because of my height? Height is the single most critical indicator of a man's character. Sadly, the short dudes spend their lives trying to compensate, and it seriously scars them emotionally.
Untouchable_Fire Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Everytime I see a post like that, I remind myself that Al Pacino is 5'7", and most girls'd still hit it . So, forget the height, put some crazy in your eye, and there you go . I'm 5'9" myself, and never thought it to be a problem except with A) extremely entitled girls with long list of "requirements" that I wouldn't want to have aything in common anyway and B) girls that are much taller - but they are still a minority (in spite of all the hormones in the milk and all). Pacino is rich and famous. Even Drew Carey does good with the ladies because of that! Oh, and just from personal experience the taller girls tend to lose the height requirement faster. It's the really short ones who tend to refuse to date anyone under 6ft.
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It's the really short ones who tend to refuse to date anyone under 6ft. Great observation. Once again, it's all about compensation. The shorter the woman, the taller the man must be.
Author I'm Joe Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 I guess I just feel like being 5'9 I am never going to be considered by women my height or taller. I don't care how tall the woman is If I was in love she could be 4 foot or seven foot. It is just a very disheartening feeling to be "Overlooked" (pun Intended) by women that I have an interest in. The whole "short man syndrome" is an easy trap to fall into for instace I have been lifting weights since high school, probably without thinking because of my diminuative stature. Im not a tough guy though, I just try to be funnier and more charming than the rest.
Trialbyfire Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Joe, we all get overlooked by people, whether we're aware of it or not. Why do you allow this to affect you? Everyone has their dating criteria. You want to be attractive to all women you find attractive. Get real. Life's not like that. Also, do you go everywhere with your friends? Are you guys joined at the hips?
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I guess I just feel like being 5'9 I am never going to be considered by women my height or taller. It's a fact of life, I'm afraid. Women have this rule, and it's based on sound biological principles. Tall men are more successful.
lovestruck818 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I find very short women from 5ft 3 and below revolting. They're practically midgets. Are you kidding me? There are plenty of good looking women who are short! -Me -Jennifer Love Hewitt -Jessica Simpson -Salma Hayek -Brittany Murphy -Jada Pinkett -Reese Witherspoon -Lacey Chabert -Lucy Liu You cannot possibly find ALL these women revolting!
movingonandon Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Pacino is rich and famous. Even Drew Carey does good with the ladies because of that! Yeah, but that's not the point. Forget about Pacino the actor for a second, it's not far-fetched to suggest that more girls than would openly admit would still get naughty with the poor and infamous 'Scarface', fresh off the boat, mm?

It's okay if he does. He's allowed his criteria, just like you're allowed your criteria.

clv0116 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I find very short women from 5ft 3 and below revolting. They're practically midgets. I love petite women. For what it's worth the average man in the USA was 5' 9 last time I checked, although it varies a lot with race. Average American woman was 5' 3.3 last I looked, same disclaimer. The tallest girl I currently date is 5' 4 and I'm only 5' 10, but I love the way a smaller woman tips her face up for the kiss.

Yamaha Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It's a fact of life, I'm afraid. Women have this rule, and it's based on sound biological principles. Tall men are more successful. Yes. But most women want a tall man because they feel protected by him not because of his wallet. We left the trees to evolve.
Angel1111 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 My preference is tall men but I'm not opposed to short men at all. The last love of my life was only 5'7". He had a 6' personality, if that makes any sense. hee hee. He was so outgoing and sweet and fun and smart, I really didn't give a fig about his height. But what I really don't like, as in, it's a real turn-off for me personally, is short, thin men. I'd prefer that you be a little overweight and/or stocky, than be skinny or thin. I'm not a big fan of thin men anyway but taller men get away with it a little better. I ran into my ex husband a few weeks ago and he's 5'9" also, and handsome. But he's a runner now and is so thin it's almost painful to look at him. He reminds me of a little boy. I just like guys who look more cuddly. And it may have something to do with what the above poster mentioned above about feeling protected. Sorry, that hasn't evolved out of our psyche yet. Anyway, I think that's more important than height.
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 most women want a tall man because they feel protected by him not because of his wallet. We left the trees to evolve. That's another good point.
refurb Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I knew a guy who pulls more hot chicks than anyone I have ever met. He was 5'7". 'nuff said. RF
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I knew a guy who pulls more hot chicks than anyone I have ever met. He was 5'7". Which part of him are we talking about?
clv0116 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Yep, that's way too low. Not by much. I just looked and it's less than 5' 10 for men, 5' 4 and change for women. The last love of my life was only 5'7" ... Not poking fun at you but this just made me LOL.
Dumbledore Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It passed 6' a while ago. I remember reading about it.
Shygirl15 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Many 5'2" and less women would consider that tall. I guess it all depends on the kind of women you're dealing with. I'm 5'7" and my ideal guy has to be between 5'11" - 6'2". Guys on either side of this bracket makes me feel really weird.
39388 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It all seems so shallow to me. I am just over 6 feet tall and if someone told me I could choose the height for the woman sure I could give an "ideal" height. That's not how it works though. If I meet a 5 foot tall woman with many desirable characteristics, I'd be really happy. The same with a woman taller than me. How many wonderful relationships are ruined or not started every day by this is beyond silly to me.
clv0116 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It passed 6' a while ago. I remember reading about it. Well I just read this, have a look. My statement was for Americans - US residents.
