daisyduchess Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 This is a long story, and I am going to cut out a lot of the details. I'll try to leave enough in for it to make sense. Although it doesn't make sense to me, either, that is why I've posted here to seek help. A year ago, I "met" someone, if you could call it that, on Myspace. I had on my profile that I was for friends only. A guy who had on his profile that he was married started hitting on me. Not in a convential way, by the usual messaging, either. If I say any more about that I am afraid if he reads this he will know it's me. He hinted he wasn't married, and he'd like to come to my state and meet me. (He's on one coast of the US I am on the other....2000 miles away) I basically said I'd be friends on Mspace, but no more because I don't get involved with married people. He kept on, and kept on, and kept on. Played some serious mind games, was really mean about it in the end. I dropped him as a friend, and in fact deleted my whole mspace page. Just could not take it anymore. First of all, I didn't use my real name on there, ever. I also listed I lived in a neighboring state, not in my real one. Somehow, though, he found out both, and in fact narrowed down my address to a neighbors. (I was using their wireless signal, shh don't tell anyone) I don't know if he had a ip tracker on his profile, or what..... How I found out he knew all this was after I deleted my page, I began frequenting another website similar to Mspace, and he wrote a "poem" on there (several poems, actually) where he used my name, and said he was going to rape me. Called me every name in the book...bitch, cunt, said he was going to rape me in every orfice I had. This was a few months ago. Needless to say, I am concerned. Ahem. The scary part is, no matter what account anywhere I open on the internet, it is broken into by the end of the day. I ditched my old computer and got a new one, figuring somehow he had uploaded a virus, trojan, tracking thingy or whatever into my hard drive. Now, I am experiencing the same thing on my new one. I feel very threatened by this guy. I can't actually (or don't know how) to prove it is him, he seems to know how to do all this right on the outer edges of discovery, of proving it's him. How seriously would you take this threat? What would you do? Any thoughts would be majorly appreciated.
Cherry Blossom 35 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I would take it seriously. Contact your local police department. If you are lucky enough to live in LA, they actually have a stalking department.
sultry33 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 yes definatly bad.. go to the police. make sure you have changed your email addy too . When i first joined the internet i was kinda cyber stalked and the guy gave all my private details out on a chatroom of over 500 people.. can tell you he was banned but he reappeared many times.. some people are just freaks.. get some help with this x
dashing daisy Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 That is very scary. He has crossed too many lines for you to not take this seriously. Contact the police department and see what they can do. As soon as you can. Keep us updated, please.
kashmir Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I have no idea what you should do, but let me just say that I would be very scared if I was in your position and that you have a right to take action. Why can't some guys just grow up and leave a woman alone? I wish the best for you.
chrislovestosurf Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 find a guy you know who is protective of you to have a little "talk" with him. If he keeps it up have your dad or a male friend kick the living **** out of him.
GirlNextDoor11 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 My BF is a police officer, he said call your local police department immediatley! He said this man has invaded your privacy and threatened you bodily harm! CALL THE POLICE ASAP
sb129 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Wow, daisy that sounds terrible! Not only would I contact the police, I would stop using my neighbours internet! I don't know alot about those kind of things, but I would hazard a guess that thats how he is tracking you down, esp as they obviously don't have any kind of security on their connection if you can use it. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
