CaliMan2 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I found this link: http://www.livereal.com/relationship_arena/typical_cycle.htm I agree with the stages they list there. I've had a couple of complete cycles. My question is, what is the point of marriage or putting all your effort into a long term relationship if eventually you will either: Break up or divorce;Separate, or take a breather, and resume problems at a later time; Both partners find a way for the relationship to evolve to a deeper level of understanding and maturity;Have an affair (return to Step One); orResign yourself to a dull, colorless life full of crushing disappointment, barren drudgery, and hopeless resignation.I have experienced the full cycle a couple of times and after the honeymoon phase and you go through the different stages of the relationship, these aspects occur.
Geishawhelk Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Desire is natural. Commitment is a Choice. It's all about the commitment and effort therein.
LovieDove24 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Whats so wrong with number 3? I would assume THATS the reason people 'even bother.'
