I don't particularly care what your cultural or ethnic background is. I have been hunting and fishing all of my life. My father is a doctor, my grandfather was a doctor, I'm an engineer and my brothers are lawyers. They all hunted and fished, and do to this day. Your social status doesn't have any bearing on your right to enjoy hunting and fishing. But taking an animal out of the wild and consuming it seems a lot more honest and rightful than buying it off the shelf. I do both, so I don't see anything wrong with either. I hunt deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrel, ducks and doves. I fish for speckled trout, redfish, bass, tuna and bream. So if nothing else, you know where I'm coming from. I have no interest in golf or tennis, believe me. Well, golf isn't bad... I just suck at it.

You are entitled to think that my position is "weird" or that I'm ridicules. I have my views and preferences and I will always stick to them. This has never been an issue to me. I don't even know any men that hunt or fish. In addition to being horribly cruel and cowardly, hunting and fishing are very trailer trash to me. They are part of a life style that I am not interested in ever being a part of

I am aware that people once had to depend on hunting animals for food, clothing, shelter and many everyday objects. However, today it is unnecessary to kill animals, especially for sport. 1,000s of years ago humans did many things that we no longer find acceptable or necessary. As we've evolved our needs and life styles have changed.

I don't know what makes you "lol" here  My SO does eat meat on occasion.

Im lol'ing even more after reading this. Allina, it is clear that you dont get out much or travel.

Trailer trash eh? My father is a biochemist and teaches graduate students in the life sciences and he is the saltiest fisherman you will ever find. As a matter of fact, most sportsfishing boats that allow fisherman to travel far out to sea cost more than many people's homes. Many Doctors, lawyers, office workers are hardcore sports fisherman. Dont categorize people until you have a clue of what you're talking about.

As I said in a previous post, I dont agree with commerical fishing where many mammals get tangled in nets and fish that are becoming endangered get killed. However to fish for sport and follow regulations regarding size and weight limits is a moral practice in my opinion. To those people who dont catch and release and who "kill for fun," well maybe they should be criticized. But please dont group all fisherman as white trash.

Getting back to the topic, you have the right to your opinion and to not want to date one of these horrible people but I find it silly that you can be opposed to the practice of fishing when im sure many people you know, including your SO, pay for and eat meat. :)
