Bells Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Okay, I just firmed up plans with a woman I am going out with on Fri night, I made plans for a 8 to 830pm" She said, "Okay, I'll try to make it at 8." Should I brace for something here when she used the word "try"? It could mean that she could be late due to traffic.....or...does she mean she'll "try" to make it.....period? lol
Geishawhelk Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 You made plans for "8 to 8:30"..... She said she'd try to make it for 8.00.... So she's going to try to get there earlier, rather than later..... Where's your problem here, again...?
Lucky555 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 She is saying she will be there around 8. Don't worry...I myself say "around" a time because I don't want to disappoint him if I am like 5 minutes late. You never know what comes up like traffic or just being tardy...I am probably putting on my last minute lip gloss and that could make me two minutes late. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
JohnnyBlaze Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 It's on like Donkey Kong! If she had said something like "...yeah, sure. I think I can make it sometime around then", then I'd be worried. As it stands, the only things you have to worry about are what to wear and where to take her!
curiousnycgirl Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I made plans for a 8 to 830pm" I don't understand you made plans for a 30 minute slot of time? What happens at 8:30? Do you move onto your next plans? What exactly do you mean here?
RichGuy Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 If you insist on cornering women on a "Do or do not" proposition, most of them will choose the latter without a second thought. Embrace the gray, fuzzy, try-zone.
