Touche Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Ok, well then why didn't you say so? Obviously she likes you.
JohnnyBlaze Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 So of she says she likes her salad "Greek", is that a sign to get the cheque and take her back to your place ASAP?
Trialbyfire Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Did she order an appetizer? If not, lucky you. No foreplay necessary!
Author alphamale Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Ok, well then why didn't you say so? Obviously she likes you. i already knew she liked me before she even showed up... So of she says she likes her salad "Greek", is that a sign to get the cheque and take her back to your place ASAP? Did she order an appetizer? no
Author alphamale Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 yea so i'm meeting this same woman tonite for drinks....i wonder what she'll order she looks like a fruity-girly-martini type
Star Gazer Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I would have to agree. The times I've gone out, I would order minimally around guys I really liked and wanted to be with, and would order whatever I really wanted around guys I was comfortable with or had been with for a while. Did you not "like" the people you were comfortable with or had been with for a while???
Star Gazer Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Not to burst your bubble but in my case many times I'd order minimally if I thought I didn't want to go out with the guy again. Me too. Wouldn't want to be a mooch with a guy I don't plan on seeing again.
Author alphamale Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Me too. Wouldn't want to be a mooch with a guy I don't plan on seeing again. thats funny cause my experience is on a 1st date if she's not interested in date #2 then she'll order the most expensive thing on the menu... as its the dude who usually pays on date #1
Star Gazer Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 thats funny cause my experience is on a 1st date if she's not interested in date #2 then she'll order the most expensive thing on the menu... Only a classless woman would do that. If I'm not interested in a second date, I order something cheap AND I usually pay for myself. Only a user would get the most expensive thing knowing that she isn't paying and isn't going to see him again.
Author alphamale Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Only a classless woman would do that. :lmao:
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Did you not "like" the people you were comfortable with or had been with for a while??? Well, yeah - but when I'm with (sep)H, or with my friend guys I am completely comfortable eating whatever and however much I like. They know me enough to know my good points and my bad, and if I'm eating like a pig - its no big deal to them. They won't judge. Now, a guy who I want to date and who I might not know as well - I'll go conservatively. They don't know me well enough not to judge.
Author alphamale Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Now, a guy who I want to date and who I might not know as well - I'll go conservatively. They don't know me well enough not to judge. indeed...thats what i was trying to say. as for me, on a first date i order a "manly" meal such as a steak or burger or meatloaf/mash. i do eat salads on occasion but i would never order one on a first date cause i don't want her to think i'm a sissy or something
Star Gazer Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 as for me, on a first date i order a "manly" meal such as a steak or burger or meatloaf/mash. i do eat salads on occasion but i would never order one on a first date cause i don't want her to think i'm a sissy or something That's funny! While I disagree with your hypothesis about women and salad, I do agree that men eat "manly" meals on a first date!
Author alphamale Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 That's funny! i fail to see teh humour...
2sure Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Just wanted to add to anyone dating....in the name of all thats holy... NEVER ORDER SPAGHETTI
runner Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 That's funny! While I disagree with your hypothesis about women and salad, I do agree that men eat "manly" meals on a first date! so if she's real into me and i'm not feeling it...i'll order the salad ?
Trimmer Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Just got back from brunch....she ordered the salmon salad. Enough said as for me, on a first date i order a "manly" meal such as a steak or burger or meatloaf/mash. i do eat salads on occasion but i would never order one on a first date cause i don't want her to think i'm a sissy or something So I take it you haven't tried the fish taco, or the bearded clam yet?
laRubiaBonita Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 i would have thought Lobster Salad would be the 'for sure' sign.....
Shygirl15 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 thats funny cause my experience is on a 1st date if she's not interested in date #2 then she'll order the most expensive thing on the menu... as its the dude who usually pays on date #1 Interested or not, I'll order whatever I like. Don't see how meal selection or prices relate to liking or not liking someone.
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 They don't - it is more a matter of the woman not wanting to be judged for eating too much. There are sayings like "ate like a hog" or "ate like a horse" that some women just don't want to be associated with when they are with someone who has very little to go by except for what they see the person in front of them doing. AM is saying that basically, if a woman orders conservatively, then she most likely cares what the guy thinks - ie: she likes the guy and wants him to like her too, and not base an early date on "eating like a hog" or somesuch.

whichwayisup Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I couldn't eat for like a month after first dating my now H. He made me nervous and sick to my stomach alot of the time so it wasn't because I wasn't hungry, I was..
D-Lish Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I'll seriously order whatever I feel like. First date with my ex, I ordered a steak. There is some truth in the salad order though. Some girls don't want to come off as looking like a piggy. I think I ordered a cheesecake for dessert as well. Oh, and about 5 pints.
You'reasian Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Just got back from brunch....she ordered the salmon salad. Enough said And what if she reaches over and caresses your unit??
citizen67 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I never get salad on the 1st date, somehow I think it seems high maintenance & I dont want to look like a calorie counter. What does a guy think when you get a burger, well-done, with fries?
