AMCP Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I am in desperate need of advice. I have been interested in this guy for the past 3 years * I am 18 now he was 20 then*. He used to be my neighbor and I would sometimes pop over to say hello and "borrow" the laundry key every month or so *Just an excuse to say hello*. The moment I met him I knew deep down that this guy was meant to be in my life. I have never been happier just talking to someone in my entire life. So I finally had the guts to start talking to him regularly when he moved 3 hours away! So we kept in touch through emails. So it went back and forth, he would take a month to reply an email sometimes. He did not have net access and worked constantly. Which I completely understand. He was always happy to chat and when we talked he would always say it's great to talk to you. Meaninly ha ha. not the oh shucks it’s been uhh …great to talk to you? When he would come into town he would let me know mind you it was only a couple of times those 2 years but it was wonderful to see him. He always seemed to show interest in me. Though it's been tough on me mentally. The constant waiting and trying to make this work somehow. He's a pastor son and is now enrolled into college full time. Which is fantastic. Yet now days we only contact each other every month. I know how busy he is and as I said before I'm willing to wait... But one time he was coming into town he said he would call on Sunday after his race (marathon runner) and he never did. So I finally called him and he never mentioned that he never called but he asked if I could spend the rest of the day with him?.. So I did see him and he again showed interest in me? Fast forward nearly a year later, haven't seen him since though have spoken to him every month. In the middle of summer we had talked pretty much the whole day and he told me that I was the most pleasant person he knows to talk to and when I mentioned my gran was a beauty queen he said you must have gotten it from her then. So I was surprised since he's not one to compliment people Though yet again fast forward January I have only been able to speak to him a few times since the summer and he did call on Christmas eve to make sure I was doing well and wish me a merry Christmas and I just called him and he was packing to go hike for the weekend and the call only lasted 5 minutes though he said it was good to hear from me? Forgive me for this being so gosh darn long, I just don't know what to do. I don't want to give up since I know deep down I will never care about a man more than I do for him. Though the thought only seeing him 1-2 times when he’s in town for a whole year seems tough for me. Please may I have some advice on what to do?
purpledevil Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Only being 18 years old, I find it hard to imagine you never finding another man you feel this way about. My first relationship was bliss, I thought she was the greatest person in the world and this feeling lasted until we broke up. Since then I have met a few girls that I hold in high regard the same way I felt at the start of my first relationship, maybe even more so because now I really know what I want in a girl, atleast more than I did back then.

So I finally had the guts to start talking to him regularly when he moved 3 hours away! ? a far as that is it could be worse, lilkea country away or somthin.sounds like you both are interested so why mot make a few trips to him and if things go as well as they sound then he''ll prob make some to see to. so if u got a car its a start. btw just curious u said ur 18 now and he was 20 then', so does that make him 23?
