Author Kamille Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Wow thanks everyone! It's all very insightful and as I asked a question for which I personnally have no answer - I'll just keep reading your responses. But James, notice the debate didn't centre around moving in together too soon?
Trialbyfire Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 using your list then: I only realised the last few years that I didn't want children. when I was in my 20s I had thought that the desire would come with time (because it was what everyone told me) but over the years I realised that it's ok not to want any and that there are a lot of women like me. therefore if I had married a family man that wanted 3 kids, we would be divorced by now. If you look back on my original post as a response to you, you'll find that I agreed that 30 something is the better time to consider marriage or something seriously long-term.
birdie Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Then for the ones who don't know who they are, it would make sense to wait until they're in their thirties, before getting too serious about anyone. If that's the case, then each relationship isn't intended for an LTR or marriage, as defined by the opening post. It's more of a passing of time between individuals, who enjoy each others' company. this is what you said and you can read my response to it. this is the last time I'm replying to your posts because I find your point-scoring extremely tiring
Trialbyfire Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 this is what you said and you can read my response to it. this is the last time I'm replying to your posts because I find your point-scoring extremely tiring birdie, this isn't about point-scoring. I'm appalled that you would take it that way. This is the second time within our historical interactions that you've felt it was one-upmanship v. a difference in opinions. It's nothing personal on my side. I'm uncertain why you would take it so personally.
