Mio, the value and wonder of a forum like this one is that individuals are different. That's what makes them individual. Without a healthy balance of a good cross-section of responses, how is anyone ever going to receive an adequately diverse variety of responses from which to glean a good cross-section of advice?

I agree with that, GW. I just wonder where the line should be drawn. LS purports to be a forum "fostering an environment free of harassment, character attacks, and other forms of individual and group berating".

I see way too much of that last one on the OM/W forum.

Given that they lie, cheat, cause pain and suffering and break the law (possibly) and God's commandment (definitely), why should the outrage NOT be moral?

People are entitled to be outraged. I question whether they should pour that outrage into a support forum, especially when it turns into berating.

I'm must be missing something because I don't see any berating, I just see clear opinion being stated from both sides. Just because someone doesn't agree doesn't mean they are being berated.

We are all adults. Adultery is a very volatile subject. There are bound to be passionate posts. If we can deal with adultery (notice I didn't use the words cheat or cheaters), we should be able to deal with some passionate posts.

Sometimes a good 'slap up de head' is exactly what people need. I have developped a bit of a harsh approach, I grant you.

But if I may say so, the people who concur with me, and have the opinion that I'm on track, far outnumber those who feel I've overstepped the mark.

And actually, I rarely do that.

It's debatable though whether infants have as much 'fun' in infancy as adults do in adultery.

That was a joke.

:D

Thanks.....

I didn't want folk to get the impression I actually think there's anything remotely funny about adultery.

Per se.....

I find a bit of humor to be healthy even with such a touchy situation. So thank you.

What would Jesus do. He would close this thread and ask that another not be started on the same subject for a few days. There are simply too many argumentative posts, too many off topic posts, etc. Many thanks!
