OK, this is just a random topic I have had in my head for a while. It is a little related to the other post I made, but I want to see opinions just in general.

I know there are girls that absolutely hate the idea of a guy holding their hand if they are not like official bf/gf and others think it is nice even on like a first date.

So in general, if you are going out with a guy for the first few times, would it be ok, if he went in to grab your hand??

Like let's say when you are sharing a cab ride, or the subway, or just walking around at night??

Yes, it's always best when you're together.

It doesn't work so well, if you're apart.

It's appropriate if he feels like holding your hand and you feel like letting him!!

Why the F*** are the simplest, nice basics of a relationship made so complicated???

That's the answer to your question right there. Some like this, some like that, others like something completely different. Really depends on the girl you're dealing with.

I'd suggest trying not to complicate matters and just go with the flow, particularly this early in the game.

I believe he is asking how do you know, and how do you approach a woman you are seeing/dating in the beginning. I never cared for it, so I never really did it. However, I have been told they felt a disconnect when walking and we were not holding hands. Not sure why, but I also find it awkward to just take a girls hand and see what happens. If you get a negative reaction, it can make the whole rest of the date awkward.

it is when it is. specifically - on a date; i like her, she likes me; we're walking along and haveing good conversation. i'd suggest not overthinking this one mate, the point is to feel closer when you're together. although i usually wait till she gets touchy with me first before getting to this point.
