Knight_Ctrl Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I have two, one that makes me feel ridiculously sad another that makes me feel better (helps me be angry) what are break up songs guys....albums, artists or whatever. We know music can help, lets do some sharing. Deadstar Assembly - A deep breath <--- I will cry every single time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmAJbJfeqlI Brokencyde - Taking Lyfe from me (acoustic version) Dunno...just kinda feels like how I feel right now.
Goatsbreath Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ani difranco's "untouchable face" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipUdoUcNmKI
wuggle Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 sunshine on a rainy day - by Zoe http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=05qIlGX1F44

EmperorR Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 How Can You Mend a Broken Heart Al Green Linkin park don't stay is it a true breakup song I don't know, but it fits perfectly for me.
Leroy_Down Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Ben Harper - Walkaway "They say if you love somebody, then you have got to set them free, but i would rather be locked to you, than live in this pain and misery" There isnt another song that sums up the feeling of trying to let someone go as perfectly as this one by Ben. It gets me everytime. Al Green - For the Good times "Don't say a word about tomorrow, ahh forever and ever and ever and ever" If you've ever spent the night with someone and you knew when you left the next day you would be walking away from them forever then this song will rip your soul out Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AratTMGrHaQ "I've seen your flag on the Marble Arch, but love is not a victory march, it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah" Takes a little longer to pick out the meaning from this track but make no mistake it's for everyone who has been stung by love, and has come out the other side more bitter and cynical
Frankasy Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Ne-Yo - So sick The female version works for me too. Both explain completely how I've felt lately.
Silverthorn1973 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Basically, I've stopped listening to any music with any emotional edge to it until I feel I can stomach it again without bursting into tears, especially at work. KMFDM (industrial band) have been helping me with that; political themes, silly songs, not much about love, emotions and all that.

GoneButNotForgotten Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 "A little Piece of Heaven" Avenged Sevenfold You have to listen carefully on this one to really grasp what he is singing about. "Enemy" Drowning Pool- While probably not an actually break up song, if you read between the lines it can apply. Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces -by Seether is a pure breakup cd. Based from when the lead singer's relationship with the girl from evanescence ended "Faint" Linkin Park - This one is amazing as to how much it can hit home while still being upbeat I could probably go on forever but those are a few of my favorites.

neverlost Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Haha well, this really isn't my kind of music at all... But this guy is the worse singer, and some people say he doesn't look too great... you might have seen him, he gets laughed at a fair bit I guess. 10/10 for his drive to succeed... but just listen to his LYRICS... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AActZzaAnuY -neverlost
