Adamagnet Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Has anyone here accidentally sent a text to the wrong person or do you have the capability to send a text to everyone in your phonebook? I've been seeing more of my friends blast out to groups on holidays and the like, but they've told me that they always have to manually add each individual they want to send to... Do people use group texting as a tactic to feel out the other person in order to avoid rejection?
Geishawhelk Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 You have to manually add each individual, unless you select "All" in your options when you fwd a message. And who would want to send to "all"....? That would cover your entire address book. Mine contains my doctor, my dentist, my boss, the window cleaner.....
audrey_1 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I've never texted someone accidentally, but I might have said I did. When you group text, my phone makes me scroll through my contact list and check each recipient. Well, I suppose I could check someone by accident, but the process is slow, so I really don't think that would happen.
prettybaby Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I guess it depends on the phone? In any case, people who do this purposely to test someone's reaction are lame When has this EVER worked? Seriously? Just be honest. Honesty is generally very much appreciated and makes a more solid base to start a healthy relationship. If you wonder how someone's doing, then ask them how they're doing. If you wanna go out with them, then ask them out. Screw the rules and whatever preconceptions you may have. If you want somebody, go get them before somebody else does.

It doesn't seem that out of the ordinary to send Happy Holidays to everyone you know, does it?
prettybaby Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 It doesn't seem that out of the ordinary to send Happy Holidays to everyone you know, does it? It's an unproductive behavior though. Do you know how many people ignore Happy Holidays messages? They're so random and we all get so many of them at that time of the year, I mean, really. Even I haven't responded to a bunch lol If you want to get in touch with someone, then send a clear personalized text at least. You can even throw happy holidays in there, but also ask how they're doing, etc. It will be much more genuine, and MUCH MORE likely to trigger a positive response (or heck, even a response at all).
