Viking Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 But I haven't actually met her in person. We've been emailing back and forth talking to each other about "stuff", like hobbies and interests, religion and politics. Anyways, a little while ago, I sent a long email off to her and she replied with only a few lines, saying that she got back into town and was spending the weekend with her mom and roommate. So, I sent her another email and she didn't respond back. She's always replied in quite lengthy messages and she has usually been prompt in returning emails. What I was wondering, was when do I send her another email? I sent one two days ago, but I was thinking that since school was starting back up (we both go to the same university), that she would reply to me and perhaps want to meet and greet in person. The emails started out being as pen-pals as she broke up with her BF only a month ago and said that she needed some friends. I don't know her "in person", and she could be a complete "paper bag" case, but I'd at least like to meet her. How do I go about doing that if she hasn't responded to my emails? I know its only been 2-3 days since I sent the last email, but its been 4 days since her email. Do you think she's busy with getting back to school and after spending the weekend with her mom and roomie that she's just been too busy to reply? Thanks! PS. Its been over two months with no contact with my ex! WOOHOO. It really is the best policy!
fishtaco Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 You don't. The ball is in her court now, she's the one that should respond, if she's interested. In the mean time, go hit up on some other women and get a date or two.
BobSacamento Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 It's a tough call. I once thought a ball was in a girl's court so I waited like a day. Then I just said screw it and sent her a general "Hey what's up?" email and got a pretty enthusiastic response. I think if you come off rather normal and not creepy and needy in the email I don't think it will hurt.
sosad4now Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 nope, im a girl. you need to send her another message and see where she's at.

I did that earlier and all I got was a few lines saying that she was back in town or something like that. how long have you been talking to her? Since the 18th of December...so, not too long. She contacted me after I posted on craigslist and whatnot. nope, im a girl. you need to send her another message and see where she's at. What would be appropriate and not seem needy, creepy and the like? Thanks!
Author Viking Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 So I emailed her again and it was friendly and a "how's it going" sort of deal. We've been getting dumped on as far as rain is concerned, so I asked her what she thought about it and sent some pics of the flooding near my house. She replied back! I figure that she's just busy, and I asked her what she had planned for the weekend and she also asked me what I had planned. Here are some pics of the flooding:
