CommitmentPhobe Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Definitely add him!! It has become REALLY ok in the past i'd say year for fb stalking to become accepted. I add some people in some classes that i've only said hi to, and wrote on their wall and have become friends with them. People our age don't find this stuff creepy anymore! I can't even count the number of times where i've heard or been in conversations where it starts off with "so I was looking at you facebook..." Add him!! Without a doubt. Yeah exactly, I lost times of the number of people I met briefly at a party, male and female that added me. Not to mention people I vaguely knew from a long time ago. That was when I had it, I got bored of it a closed it off to a few friends. But yeah it's pretty normal, I mean, that's the while point of social networking, and at worst he just wont add you. Ce'st la vie.
Bells Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Guys adding girls they don't know is creepy. Girls adding guys - not really creepy. Double standard.
Shygirl15 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Eh. Some people take this Facebook thing way too seriously. I have 300 friends on my FB and I know just about 50 only. I just don't see how adding someone as a friend on FB harms you.
edinsvet Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Go ahead and add him. It is perfectly socially acceptable to have as many friends as you want on facebook. It totally doesn't mean anything that anyone should read into the wrong way to add him as a friend.
VivaciousSoul Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Wow, I've never heard of adding people on facebook being creepy. Interesting. I know a few people with over 1500 friends. There have been times when people have added me to "see if they know me" As for "friends in common" if I see that we have over 100 friends in common I usually suspect that I know them from somewhere even I don't immediately recognize the picture. Whatever, I'm never on facebook anyway, it's hard to care bout some imaginary rules.
