RM0123 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Is it really possible for a man to love a woman with his whole heart but let her go because he is not at the same place in his life as she and he is trying to protect her from getting hurt later on?
Riffmeister General Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 No, I don't believe that for a second, personally. I've loved with all my heart, and there wouldn't have been a damn thing anyone could have done to make me break up with her if she was happy with me. Never. Having said that, if I was terminally ill or something, then maybe I'd pluck up the courage to tell her to go and find someone else who will be there for her forever, but there's no way I'd push her if she said she didn't want to.
Ty Wanabu Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Is it really possible for a man to love a woman with his whole heart but let her go because he is not at the same place in his life as she and he is trying to protect her from getting hurt later on? That would be incredibly insightful and magnanimous. But I would think it's BS. If you love someone that much I can't see any logical reason to let her go. I would work it out with both her and myself.
