thehardestwalk Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 In http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t171215/ I detailed the story of my break-up and attempt at reconciliation. I began ignoring her after that, but within a couple of weeks she resumed contact with me and we tried being "friends." I guess I didn't want her completely out of my life. Plus we work together and see each other almost every day. Anyway, during this "friends" period my jealousy has spiraled out of control. I was never that jealous during our relationship. As friends, I've begun freaking out about who she was with, etc. It boiled over on New Years Eve, as we went with each other to a party at a local nightclub. (Big mistake.) After telling me she wasn't planning to hook up with anyone that night, she wound up going home with a guy. I drove her there, but she abandoned me pretty early in the evening to spend time with this dude. I knew what was going on, so I questioned her about it, spied on them, and almost got thrown out for confronting her and threatening him before I was to leave. The following day I called her and said horrible, hateful things to her. Called her a lying slut, a whore, an alcoholic, a hypocrite, everything imaginable. She just stayed on the line and took it, allowing me to speak 90% of the time. I even questioned her love for me in the first place. Anyway, 90 min. later I ended it by saying that we can't be friends anymore. It was a train wreck. I was consumed with jealousy and rage at the sight of my love disgracing herself via yet another one night stand. (She has had plenty of those.) But I don't want to get back with her. I definitely wanted to sleep with her, but that's about it. I don't know why I care so much! I've been kinda seeing a new girl myself the last few weeks. I even hooked up with someone at the same New Years party. But I flew into a jealous rage over her actions. This whole thing is such a mess.
You'reasian Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Man, control yourself. Yeah it may suck that your woman hooked up, but it sounds like you hooked up too? Cut your losses and move on, bro. Enjoy life and if something works out with this new girl, then go for it. Women come and go. The better ones stay. The best actually want to be with you
