I met a lovely young lady yesterday, we chatted for a while, and I got her number so we could go out sometime. Now, I don't know how important the 3 day rule is to women, but I'm actually going to be out of town until Friday and was kind of thinking of calling her tonight to try and set something up for the weekend. My concern is that if I call her when I get back, it would be kind of short notice for getting together. So my question(s) are, does it matter how long you wait to call? Is calling the next day odd/weird/etc?

D-Lish Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I'd be delighted if someone I met gave me a call within 24 hours. Women all know about the 3 day rule- it's no big secret to us! Yes, call her if you are interested. It shows you are a no BS kind of guy, and many women will appreciate that.

If anyone pulled that on me, I would just turn him down. Thankfully, it's never happened. You hear of all the ladies on LS who've never experienced this lameness. Why do so many guys pretend they do it? Is there some kind of cool factor involved? Silly.

It's nice when someone calls when they want to because you know they're actually interested. These pre-made guidelines are lame and no one should live by them. If you want to call her, call.
Tomcat33 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Definitely call her don't wait any more days. Especially if you are calling her to make plans for next week, that's perfect. Only losers wait around counting three days + to be "able" to call when they actually want to call sooner.

In a world where every guy calls day 3, day 3 SUCKS... It's predictable, it's boring, it's been there done that... about hundred times! So you call, when you feel like it... I call sometimes the next day, sometimes the same evening, sometimes a week later, hey it happens... people do get busy sometimes.
