For anyone that may have been following my situation, which I now see that I could be the poster child of what not to do after a break up. Anyway the ex and I were supposed to go to counceling on the 8th of January but last night she told me that she is done with it all and that she wants to see what else is out there, and date other men. So I guess its time for me to move on, which is ok I just feel for my kids who consider her Mom.

My only concern is how I am going to find childcare for when I am at work. I work from 6:30pm to 7:00am everything else I can do alone.

Sorry she wussed-out and bailed.

Time for you to step-up, take care of YOU, and get on with YOUR new life.

You sound pretty solid- I'll bet you'll work out your child care issues unless, of course, you want to use that as a way to keep entangled with your ex...

Now go ON with your badass self and take care of biz!

Peace,

Can you contact a reliable and certified agency?

Would work give you a financial allowance?

Can you work something out with your bosses?

(No, not to ask them to take care of the kids, silly! :p )

The last thing I want is to be entangled with her in anyway what so ever. She wants to remain a part of my childrens life, which I think is quite admerable so that will be the only contact I plan on having with her.

No work wont help out at all, they have day care for people who work day shift but its only 9 hours the problem I have is that I work 12 hour night shifts.

OP, check Craigslist and other information sources for graveyard shift child care. It's really common in the LA metro area. Do you people ever not work? :D

Anyway, sorry about the turn of events. My only advice would be to take each day individually. Thinking about the future can become overwhelming. Hang in there :)
