And the only reason he is doing it, is because his truck is under her note. What do you do to overcome jealousy? Do you have a common story with me? I do trust my husband but I do not trust his ex and I don't understand why she is communicating with him. Am I selfish? I talked to him about that and he said I have nothing to worry about and he knows I feel bad about it. What advice can you give me and what do I need to do in order not ruin our marriage because of what I feel with the situation. Hope you will enlighten me.. P>S I just registered on this forum a few minutes ago.

Or, barring that, can he get a personal loan to pay off the remainder of the note? That's what we did with my sister. We helped her buy her first car, so it was in my H's name for a while, she was supposed to refinance after a year, but that didn't happen so eventually she took out a personal loan and paid it off. At my insistence, of course. Kids!

No you are not selfish and if it is a constant thing I would tell him I didn't feel comfortable and it must stop. How would he like it if you were in constant communication with an old boyfriend?

Elilmomma Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I don't think you are wrong at all. First your hubby knows that this bothers you yet he does nothing to change it. Your hubby should make it his business to get the car note on his or even your name. This way there will be no need to communicate with his ex. Maybe he likes it this way? idk I wish you the best of luck..
