Hello!

Im not sure if this is where to post this or not. Here is my issue. My husband just recently left me for another woman who he has moved in with. I filed divorce a few weeks ago. We have 2 children under 2 and my youngest is about to have her first Christmas. I thought that since it was her first Christmas that we should spend it as a family. So, my stbx will be coming over Christmas day to see the kids. I am very emotional and heart broken over what has happened and I usually start crying everytime I see him. I need some pointers on how to act when he is over... Im going to try biting my lip a lot for the kids sake but he acts like he did nothing wrong and that I should be happy for him... its so hard for me as this just happned last month. The kids love him and are excited to see him but it just breaks my heart. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Because your children are so very small and because you are newly separated...you are doing everything right as far as sharing it with him. Under no circumstances is OW to be expected to be there, and you havent said she is so I assume this is a non issue. For this XMas anyway, this is what you should be doing.

As far as how to act...it will be hard to act like all is great, because that isnt the way you feel. Try to keep it light and focus yourself on your children. Tears on Christmas morning they will notice and possibly remember. If you focus on not burdening them with your pain you will get through it. On the other hand, you are divorcing, there is no need to give him the impression that everything is hunky dory. You can let him know, in a non aggressive way that this is not how you pictured your families holidays. You have to move on , be strong for your children, but you can be honest as well. Thats his burden, he earned it.

Fmarie, there is nothing you can do besides try. Try to stay as unemotional as possible for your kids sake. What you are going through is brutal. Your STBXH's timing was very wrong. Leaving you with a new baby is very unthoughtful. It's very disturbing to hear what people do to loved ones.

Keep posting. Many people here will help you as much as they can.

I'd give his sorry @ss a map to the state of Flordia with a "high-lighted" route to Panama City, FL.

When he asked me "What's this?"

I'd tell him it was the directions to Panama City, FL, and when he got there he could go and pound sand in his @zz!:mad::)
