When people are ga-ga over each other, it can get nauseating for the person watching because everything they say sounds stupid. And yes, it does, can and will happen to YOU!

Ain't that the truth?

When I'm with someone I'm totally smitten with (and the feeling is returned), we probably do and say some pretty stupid stuff others would find annoying.

Stop worrying about other people. Don't even 'worry' about yourself. You're like an alien who's studying Earth, trying to figure out how humans function

ROTFL, this is a good description of Kashmir, this "studying Earth" is a good thing to attempt, but too much of it and you'll just mind-**** yourself into being more cynical than you already are.

Re. this specific situation, it's a bit nauseating, I actually like seeing small amounts of PDA (makes me feel like at least some people on Earth are pretty happy), but yeah, this is icky.

Well, the day that I tell my girlfriend that I'm overdue for a tanning appointment is the day I throw up all my insides. :lmao: I don't think many people can get THAT pathetic...

That's why I'm assuming she has to be like him on the inside. When I'm working as a waiter, I get couples like this all the time...hot girl with her hot boyfriend decked out in a&f and wreaking of colon. 9 out of 10 times the guy would exercise a power-trip over me while the girl was oogling over him. They'd usually be crappy tippers too. After the first few times I learned to just humor them and for my own amusement subtly make fun of them while talking with them.

I really don't like being around these people, but sometimes we're forced to be in situations we don't like. Just gotta stomach it and then forget it.

I know the type and agree with your sentiments. I started a semi-similar thread about it recently. Like Carhill, I'm trying to spend less mental energy thinking about people who annoy me. The world will always be full of people who annoy us. It's a waste of time to worry about.

I also agree with other that these two are together because they're similar...both somewhat shallow based on your description. You ask why this girl is attracted to this guy, but would you really want to attract the kind of girl who is? Or is it mostly about looks to you and personality doesn't factor in? There are women out there who will go gaga over a guy simply because he's hot, while there are others who care more about intelligence. Women aren't all attracted to the same things, and usually intelligent women prefer intelligent men. I consider myself an attractive, intelligent woman and I can't imagine myself being in a serious relationship with a guy who was unintelligent or vain.

I was going to write a huge reply to this but then I figured nobody would read it.

So I'll just say, yes, I do believe that girls could go for a guy like that, especially at this age.

Do girls really like this kind of guy? Yes. I'd say, yes, some girls do. Which then leads to several drama-filled relationships and fall-outs. Most women grow out of this phase.

Do women really like this kind of guy? No, women don't. There are some women who do, which entail gives you the 1%-10% "special kind" population.

Are you jealous, Kashmir?

I can see that you are a very observant person. This will definitely bode you well in future relationships. Of course, in a semi-good way. Being overly analytical and having your mind think about surrounding social behaviors is normal. The important part is to keep it under control, and know when enough is enough.

I think too much, sometimes, and more often than not, it has helped to pave way to a vast array of ideas/notions about things I may have never really known.

Next time, just laugh it off.
