Is this a chick you don't even know yet (i.e. you see her passing by on your way to work), one you just met, someone you talk to casually, or already a friend? Where you presently stand with a chick certainly influences how forward you can be.

Since I was 16, I've only found out guys like me through a third person...They would say, "I know someone that likes you," and so and so "likes you." It's really frustrating, because what am I going to say to this third person? What I'd like to say to them is "mind your own business!" I would've loved it if one of them actually told me, "I like you."
