Jake Barnes Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Well its not like you get neglected hot young Russian women falling in love with lonely, frustrated North American strangers online everyday I think he should give love a chance
Nemo Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Do all Russian men play chess in their spare time, and have small dicks?
Jake Barnes Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Do all Russian men play chess in their spare time, and have small dicks?I was rather shocked to find out Mental Traveler is actually Bernie Madoff
Nemo Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I was rather shocked to find out Mental Traveler is actually Bernie Madoff I wish I had $50 billion to lose. So, is the Russian mafia after him? What's the connection?
Jake Barnes Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I wish I had $50 billion to lose. So, is the Russian mafia after him? What's the connection? He was trying to sell Viking part of the Brooklyn Bridge a couple of posts up
Nemo Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 He was trying to sell Viking part of the Brooklyn Bridge a couple of posts up How could I have missed that? Well, anyway, that's as good a reason as any to take mental_traveller off my ignore list.
Nemo Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Rather than blow your money on some gold-digger who is probably a 65 year old 300 lbs bald Russian fat guy, I have a much better idea. You should invest in my proposed new Brooklyn Bridge. I am selling shares at the bargain rate of $50,000 each - it will entitle you not only to upside participation in the LIFETIME revenues from the bridge, but you also get a permanent exemption from toll fees. You can even pass the exemption down to your kids. Come on, how many bridges are there from Brooklyn to Manhattan? You simply can't lose. Set yourself up for life and put your money worries aside. Contact me via PM for further details. Yours sincerely, B. Madoff That's a great offer, but I have heard from credible sources that soon, due to some sort of climate change thing, the only real estate left in Manhattan will be at the top of the Empire State. The Staten Island Ferry will probably swing by from time to time, so transportation is less of a problem than you might think.
Lizzie60 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 That's BS... How can people be so naive to believe those scams.. If she was that 'smoking hot' do you honestly think she would need Craigslist and agencies to help her find someone. Geezzz... In a way, I don't blame those 'thieves' they get people to pay large amounts of money because they're just soooo gullible.. She probably would have the 's*cker' 'import' her whole family..
JohnnyBlaze Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 He was trying to sell Viking part of the Brooklyn Bridge a couple of posts up The nerve of him! Trying to sell shares in my bridge. Geesh. I just bought that bridge three years ago from a very reputable dealer, named [email protected]. Well, actually, he sent me a picture of himself, and he looked reputable. He looked like Donald Trump. A LOT like Donald Trump, now that I think about it. Must just be coincidence. But I know he's legit. He even emailed me a receipt from his company at 390532809 New York Inc., so I have proof that I'm the real owner. I've always been suspicious of those overseas things. If you're coming over here anyway and can make it here on your own dime and your own visa, then by all means, call me up and we'll go out for a beer. But if I hear the "M" word or catch a whiff of the stinky brown stuff in any of the emails, I'm a ghost.
spookie Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 There's lots of Russian women who are really desperate for green cards. Some of them are pretty hot. Anyone wanna marry my cousin?
edinsvet Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Sounds like a scam to me if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck..... I think you know the rest.
carhill Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Easiest litmus test from the years I traveled there....tell the lady you're going expat and want to live in her town/city and ask her if she knows of a place you can get a job at. The serious ones (IME never the "model" types) will talk about that with you. They actually don't want to leave their family, friends and country. The rest you'll never hear from again (if they were ever "women" to begin with).
happy3some Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 i think she might or might not be real. tell her b4 anything u need to see her on webcam. and then, even if she is real, would you really want to meet with some1 who claims to love you when she doesnt know you, just because she needs to find a way to stay in the states? prob not!
fishtaco Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Well, Viking knows, he's not falling for the scam. I think at this point he's just amused. Some people would scam back the 419 scammers by making them take crazy pictures. Like holding a sign that says I'm a dumbass in one hand and a fish in the other while standing on one foot. You could do that. Tell her something like you're a very visual person, and that you would need to see her body... i.e. naked. Then say you are falling for her, but you're scared of scammers, so she would need to prove her identity by sending pictures of your specification. And that is when you get creative. Maybe have her pose naked with a pancake on her head? Maybe have her rub butter all over her naked breasts and hold a cucumber in her mouth?
