TTKWD Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 After 9 yrs of marriage my wife has told me repeatedly that she just does not feel the same way when we first met. She feels numb to me and is not in love with me anymore - her words. We have 2 children that we both love and adore tremendously. When does a man know it's time to let go? We are both in our mid 30's but I love her and do not want to be without her. I also know that it is not healthy to stay in a relationship with a spouse that does not love you anymore. When do you decide it really is over?
teerockness Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I feel like you've answered your own question... but more info is needed. Have you attempted counseling? What's her response? When did it start? Are you sure there isn't someone else in the mix? Most guys on this forum will tell you that there usually is in situations like this... and like clockwork, guys pass thru here all the time just like you who eventually discover that fact.

dead-dyke Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 lots of good questions. From what I can tell you have a lot of hard work ahead of you. Start courting your wife again. If she's resistant, that and marriage counseling won't even be entertained. Easier said from the one that wants to save the marriage, ever try to clap w/ one hand?
