confused_2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I dated a girl for about 6 weeks or so a couple of months ago. I'm a pretty shy guy and she came on to me pretty strong. Well, I haven't dated a lot in the past and have never been in a serious relationship and I just freaked out and basically told her I didn't really feel a connection. I felt bad because I wasn't matching her interest level and just kind of got scared off by how fast everything was moving. Fast forward to about a month after we stopped seeing each other and I calm down and realize how much I screwed up and how interested in her I really was. Keep in mind we kept in touch throughout the whole time, but around the time I really started to miss her, I guess you could say it became LC because she never really initiated any contact but would always respond to me. Well I freaked and wrote a couple of long emails telling her I know I made a mistake and how much she meant to me. I followed those up with a phone call and a few texts over the course of a week, but then I realized I was becoming needy so I stopped contacting her because she was no longer initiating any contact. Two weeks went by. Well she wrote on my facebook wall good luck on finals and that she might be around where I live over Christmas break (we're in college and live a few hours apart) and that she would give me a call if she's in the area. I responded to that but my question is should I see if she wants to get together for lunch or something before we head home for break? I don't want to seem desperate right away again because she initiated some contact, but I want her to know I'm serious about hanging out again. I really don't know if she's just being nice or giving me an opening and I want to just play it cool because I kinda acted like an ass earlier. I know I would have to make all the moves because I screwed up before, but I have no idea if there's any interest there at all and don't want to be totally clueless on what's really going on.
