These are exactly my thoughts as well. Thought some of you would be interested in the BBC article and research on the influence of the entertainment business false sense of what relationships should be like.

I admit though, as a woman, its hard not to get swept away by such romance. I think admitting the problem is half the battle though.

Makes good sense. It probably has a similar effect as porn does on some guys who watch it alot in creating unrealistic expectations in the opposite sex.

Good article Rooster! It's like everything else within the entertainment industry. It's all entertainment and people have to be able to separate fact from fiction.

Yeah, those and Disney movie fairy tales are dangerous. Half of happiness (in love, as in anything else) is managing your expectations... and these movies certainly inflate those expectations to unrealistic levels.
