So I'm cruising dating sites because with my work habits (nights 10:30p-6:30a to include weekends), it's really hard to meet people. I'm not looking for serious, just want to meet some people around here to hang out with and date.

But here's my gripe...I write emails back to these guys and usually include about 4 or 5 questions. They answer the questions with all their lovely info....then don't ask any questions. Then end their email with "looking forward to hearing from you..." WTH? Am I supposed to just keep carrying the conversation and asking questions? Volunteering info about myself? I don't get it. I don't even want to write back because they've basically given me nothing to work with, here. What are you looking forward to hearing back from me??? So confused. Maybe I just don't get how this whole thing works.

They're the ones who first contacted me and I just wrote them back. If they ask pretty much nothing back to me, do I just take it to mean they're "JNTITY?" Or is this a guy thing??

Most guys simply are clueless when it comes to communication. You literally have to "teach" them. Don't be afraid to tell them that if they have any questions, ask them.

It is definitely not a gender issue. I can assure you there are plenty of girls that do the same thing.

Online dating is a numbers game. There are all kinds of people there as there are in real life. The biggest contributor to this type of situation is the fact most people online are talking and emailing several people at once. The emails start to get blurry.

I would simply call someone out about it. You can do it tactfully. "Bob, it was great to hear back from you and I appreciate you answering my questions, what would you like to know about me?" If they respond, great, if not, move on to the next one.
