I talked to the girl in med school last Friday on the phone and she was telling me she leaves on 12/18/08 and her Finals are this week. So after friday, I emailed her on Monday, the 8th and didn't get reply probably because I was saying hi and told her I would call.

So I called on Thursday, 12/11 and left a message and still have not received a returned call. So i sent a email this morning just saying I know you are studying and can't wait to see you before you leave.

So this is the longest she has ever went without replying to me and I just ca't understand what's going on. Part of me keeps saying she will call because the last 4 times I felt like this she called or replied to my email. But I hope this is not a fall off the earth kind of thing because I would really have to give up dating. Especially when our last convo ended on a good note.

She's in med school, dude, and it's finals. You need to back off a bit. Two calls and an email?

Back off? These were my last three contacts and no of them were asking why haven't I heard from you

12/8-email

12/11-phone call

12/14-email

So I don't know what you mean by backoff because my contacts are spread out.

Yes, they are spread out, but if she does not return an email or a phone call, then further contact isn't really necessary. You know she got one or the other and most likely received both. She is not returning them because she is either not interested, or interested but has no time to breathe right now. I just feel like that third contact is veering into controlling territory. You are not getting what you want, so you are trying to control her by demanding a response. I'm not saying you actually did that, but it could be seen this way. If I was her and I was interested in you, but just did not have the time or energy to contact you during finals, I would be a little irked by the three messages. I would feel like you are annoyed that I hadn't called you back, and by sending that third message, you were letting me know that you were still there and still expected a response.

That's just my opinion, you'll get others for sure. I hope she calls. I hope I'm not right, and that she isn't bothered by it.
