canigetanswers Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 i would think so... u can be dating and just be dating one person. going on dates regularly...it's just....that...yeah...they are different
fishtaco Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Dating is an extremely overloaded word. You use it when you want to be ambiguous. Basically, there are only two categories. Either you are exclusive, or you're not. Exclusive means you've promised each other you will not engage in any sexual or romantic relationship with anyone else. If you haven't made that promise yet, you're not exclusive, and it would be legal for you (and your "date") to date other people. "Going on dates" generally carries the meaning that there is no exclusivity, even if it's "regularly", where "dating" is completely ambiguous. That's why if you need to be clear, you have to add another word to it... like casually dating, or exclusively dating.
twilight_enchantress Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 well personally i think dating is getting to know each other... well u might be exclusively dating or not... but its just the same dating and going on a date on a regular basis....
