flc Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 lol! I know, I just got caught up in the moment and went for it. Mehh, screw the rules!! I swear, if I had followed all those rules from the beginning, we wouldn't even have gotten on the first date to begin with lol Good for you, no rules. Now see what happens after the next date, if he is not following through I think you will get frustrated long term if all of the onous is on you. Hope it works out.
Author prettybaby Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 Yeah, I know exactly what you mean and I agree. I have a good feeling though! Honestly, I've kind of initiated contact a couple of times now, because I know that sometimes I'm really not that obvious about whether I like a guy or not. My ex and I are still good friends, and he confessed that when we first started dating, he got really confused as to whether I was truly interested or not lol My self-control can be a real enemy when it comes to personal situations. Now, my ex is very outgoing. He goes for it and doesn't worry about rejection. This guy, however, is very sensitive and shy, so yeah. Anyway, I think our situation is getting clearer now Slowly but surely. He's already asked me out twice now right after I made it clear that I enjoy his company; so I think he just needed to be reassured that I wasn't lukewarm about him and that it was really okay to ask me out.
littleShyGuy Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Good thing you got back to him. Like any other shy guy, he probrably didn't want to make you feel like he was all over you. Sometimes girls make it too complicated for a guy to understand. It's always refreshing to hear back from a girl after a date instead of having to sit at home and wonder if she enjoyed herself or not. It makes things a little easier for the guy.
BlueEyedGirl Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Maybe you should tell him at the end of next date something along the lines of "I would like it if you called me.." - you really don't want to set the scene for him to be completly passive.
Author prettybaby Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Maybe you should tell him at the end of next date something along the lines of "I would like it if you called me.." - you really don't want to set the scene for him to be completly passive. Yeah, that's a good idea. I thought about telling him nicely lol
diggy Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Heeeey... No you should not have. As a girl if you do that you would seem way to eager. He is probably just as nervous if not much more than you, and wondering when he should call you so he doesn't chase you away. Wait for him to contact you, he will! If he doesnt, after a few days, just send him a relaxed text message, saying you wanna go iceskating or something and he should join. You did good:) keep it up
Perry Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Maybe you should tell him at the end of next date something along the lines of "I would like it if you called me.." Definitely. Men, REAL men love this. They want to know that you are really interested in them. Or, just simply call him.
Author prettybaby Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 Aaarghhh I'm so excited! We're going out to the movies on Monday evening At first, he thought about picking me up before the movie, but then he hesitated for a second and asked if I'd like to have dinner too. Of course I said yes lol So he's picking me up ridiculously early hahah And then I guess we might go for drinks after the movie, I don't know yet. I'm so excited
Shygirl15 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Sweet! Seems things are going pretty well for you, pretty lady.
