Just kidding. How do you know your actually good looking anyway. And before you say it's in the eye of the beholder, than why can't we stop watching movies with gorgeous people in it. I'm ethnic, I get a wide range of "compliments" sometimes they are sometimes they're not. Sometimes they're just plain rude! Totally hurts my feelings. And here I am trying to pose in the best way ever so I can take a really cute pic. I'm jelous. Why are people so caught up in looks.

The only people that I ever thought were ugly were those who had a bad attitude. Seriously. Most people look more or less avergae. Some are good-looking and thus they can afford to have a bad attitude and still remain relatively attractive. But if you do whatever it takes to look the best you can (stay fit and clean, dress nicely, take care of your hair, skin, etc.) and you wear a smile and a positive outlook at all times, there is no reason to feel unattractive.

On the other hand, people who don't take care of themselves (which means they don't care how they look), shouldn't complain about why other people do care.

Agreed.

Not being overweight is probably the single most important factor in good looks. After that it's how well you wear your personality.

Do people ever call you 'exotic' ? I bet that's really obnoxious.

I'll agree with that. Extra weight makes you appear older, less fit, less disciplined, etc.

I really appreciate and agree with this post, and I wish more women adopted this mentality... that said, I don't blame anyone for finding me unattractive - but I DO do my best to treat people well and generally act pleasant to be around. No one wants to hang around a downer. Like I told my friend the other day: "I just want to be around funny people who aren't mean." Because if you think about it, like is simply too short to worry about anything for that long.

When someone finds me attractive, it'll probably be for my talents and personality rather than my looks - but then again, who knows, maybe they'll think I'm cute. I am a short guy and I don't know where that puts me in the ranking, but I try not to think about it too much, and just do my thing.

I think the most important thing here is how one views themself. If you think your good looking and are secure that's really all that matters. As to why so many are caught up on looks? I'm not sure but I think it's pretty shallow. Looks are not everything. Personality and character mean so much more IMO.
