markyboy1983 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I have a question that my boss just told me about. He said, that either in Europe (don't know which country) or japan, some jobs have something called a "lovesick" day, where if u break up with a GF/BF, wife, etc, that u can use a "lovesick" day. He said it is used like a "sick" day or vacation day. I'm from NY in the states and am just curious if anyone knows. If they do, tell me what country and i'll move there and get some retro "lovesick" pay.
DSM-IV Tom Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Lol is this a joke topic? Funny though. As for it's validity, I suggest google.
Author markyboy1983 Posted December 13, 2008 Author Posted December 13, 2008 I am 100% serious. It might sound weird, this might not be the right forum, but I googled it and found some "trivial" results on it. I know a lot of people on this sight are not from America, so they might have an answer. I am not making this up. I really want to know if this is true, this is no BS.
Ruby Slippers Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I lived in Europe for a few years, and many companies there offer unlimited sick days. They trust that you won't abuse them, and most people don't (hell, they get more like six weeks of vacation a year!), but I knew people who would take off an entire week for a cold. So, I wouldn't be surprised if it were considered OK to take a day or two off after a breakup.
