Wicked Smile Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Labido on the rise? Well hello all. I have been dealing with an issue that seems to be concerning me a little and wanted a female perspective and experience from the older guys. It seems that recently since I started getting back in shape a side affect is a rise in my labido. I hope that's not too uncommon but here's the thing, I already had a high labido before. Now it's kind of unusually high! I am in my early thirties and was reading about how men's labidos start dropping off in their forties, just a tad. Am I going to be this rev'd up for that long? I mean I just had sex twice last night and I could have gone again this morning. Geez.... I am married and have a daughter and my relationship is now better than it EVER was. We are connected and more sexual than ever before. Still I feel like my labido is going to crush her sometimes. I know she struggles to keep up and she is pretty sexual herself. Was wondering if maybe I should change my diet or something to artificially lower it. I love my wife very much. Which is why I am posting to begin with. I don't want her having to be in overdrive all the time and worried about satisfying me. She does. And I love it. I feel I am struggling to hold back a flood gate sometimes. And although "self time" is enjoyable!! It only prolongs the inevitable rebuild of Mojo. Any advice?
Mr. Lucky Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Labido If that's a combination of labia and libido, then it's a perfect word! (jk) It's amazing the correlation between self-esteem and sex drive. Getting in shape, you think better of yourself and that self-confidence is definitely an aphrodisiac. Hopefully, your W appreciates the "new" you also and responds accordingly. Keep posting and let us know how it goes... Mr. Lucky
fral945 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 To lower libido, here is the best recipe I have gathered from my older, overweight relatives: 1) Spend most of your time on the couch watching TV. Cut down your activity levels as much as possible to decrease blood flow to your nether regions 2) Try to gain weight by eating as much nutritionally deficient junk food as you can. Especially a high quantity of Ding-Dongs, Twinkies, Ho-Ho’s, and Bon-Bons, washed down with a Diet Coke. Avoid that healthy stuff like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, seeds, and nuts. Many are known to increase libido. You want to get fat and limit your vitamin intake so your body doesn't have anything to fuel your sex drive. 3) Increase the stress in your life and limit the amount of sleep you are getting And lastly, have your wife wait on you hand and foot so that she will begin to resent you and avoid sex with you. Seriously, though, you are fine. A healthy man should want sex often, that is normal. I'm only 28, and mine has increased over the past few years since I started to adopt a healthier diet and lifestyle. Take advantage of it while you have it.

Thanks btw. I will. I figure I will focus on the other things from her side for a bit. Anything that keeps her relaxed and feeling good. I figure my LABIDO (rofl) isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Federica Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I could correct it if required.... But I think it's ok to leave it as it is!

This is so true!! I've been with a couple of men who became confortable or something and stopped bieng active and started eating junk food all the time while watching tv. Their weight went up and they became less sexual. exercizing is important because it increases blood flow throughout the body. Eating healthy and avoiding the junk is important also because junk food helps clog up the arteries while the healthy food keeps things running smoothly.

I just started getting in shape to feel better and to flirt with my wife but the side effect seems kind of excessive. I haven't felt this...well...energized since I was in my late teens. I just think the excessive randiness might be a bit too much and I need to find a way to deal with it without crushing my wife. I wonder with the increase in activity in the bedroom if her libido will increase as a result?

It's possible she'll get into it more as well. Your problem is a good one to have.

OWoman Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I wonder with the increase in activity in the bedroom if her libido will increase as a result? The more you get it, the more you want it... if it's good. Twice in the night, and ready to go again in the morning - well, you're ALMOST ready libido-wise to take on a woman in her 30s (is your W a similar age to you?) because mid 30s is when her libido is going to sky rocket... so you'd best get into shape and build up your stamina!
