Bells Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 .....found this woman...she's single, mid 40's....attractive...was once married to a Marine...he got stationed in my area as a Recruiter.....his then wife fell in love with the city. Well, few years later...as Military men do...they get restationed....she didnt' want to go with him, because she loved her area so much (the location) So he let her stay, while he went a few states a way....he let her stay in the house back in the city. Eventually they divorced due to the long distance thing.....basically that's what she told me. I didn't say anything, but sounds like she did it for selfish reasons. Now, when you found out something like this about someone, does it make you \wonder if yous hould persue them (at least seriously?)?
prettybaby Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Oh come on lol You know there must have been other factors that she didn't (necessarily want to) talk about with you right then. They were probably incompatible on several points and sort of decided to go for a smooth transition instead of a blunt break up right away. I find that pretty nice and mature. Seriously though, there must have been other reasons. Maybe their lifestyles were too different, maybe they no longer had feelings, maybe their goals in life became too different, maybe one of the two wanted kids and the other didn't, heck who knows, maybe all of that together. Now, don't you think that might have been a bit too complicated and personal to discuss instead of just saying that she loved the city so much ? (which I'm sure she really does)
