Gremio Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I prefer people to be forward and honest. I'm more of the black/white type. Just tell me how it is.
BlueHarvest Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I think being honest is your best choice. People deserve honesty, not these outright lies. Which, despite the silver tongue some people on here have developed, is the best choice in most situations.
RecordProducer Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 You can tell him: "I just wanted to make it clear that I want to go out with you striclty on a friendly basis; I hope you don't have different expectations." If he says OK, you can relieved. If he cancels the date, even better for you.
Author so gutted Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 I think (for me) I have been quite a few dates now, I have twice this year tried to prolong relationships because I thought something would grow, it didnt and I got myself irritated. I know I am looking for the impossible but I have had something to go on before, I have had the intimacy of a relationship where I felt I actually ached to be with that person. (ok he was the wrong guy - but that feeling was there). I want that ache. Nothing else will do. I think its best to go with gut instinct now. I am so proud of myself, I know it wasnt a nice thing to do and i should have said no outright but for me - I have come a long long way. I have repeated bad behaviour so many times. Now I am putting a stop to it. I am being truthful to myself.
Isolde Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I hear you so_gutted, I think you probably saved the guy a bit of hurt anyway.
