THis is NOT for 9Lives....THis is for my girlfriend asking a question and this is her first time on Loveshack. I'm introducing her to our world. This is her asking the question below

********************************************************

Here it is:

Divorce was final June 13th of this year. He had a girl with four kids move in with him before it was final. Our divorce hasnt been final 6 months and hes already engaged to her. is she a rebound? were going through a custody battle with our daughter. I feel bad because he just threw our daughter in the middle of this relationship. and has broken the decree because of this. What is going on here?

I take it this 'girl' was the OW (other woman) and she's been in your ex's life for a while, even before the D.

It's unfair of him to drag your daughter in this as she isn't ready to deal with a new stepmom and all the new changes going on in her life. I hope he realizes this and backs off abit.

You need to be the stable and reliable parent, even if he pushes your buttons and pisses you off, stay calm. Talk to your Lawyer about this, see if it's possible that you get full custody since it seems your ex has moved on with his life with another woman and all her kids.

Now, is it a rebound? It's possible, yes, but it's also possible that he was cheating on you throughout your marriage and now that the D is final, he wants to get on with his life with this OW.

Hey whichwayisup,

This is 9Lives. My girlfriend has gotten her own log in now so she reposted. In this case he did not have this girl around when they were married. I just think my friend does not really want to let go and move on with her own life. I have tried to tell her that but she is not listening. Maybe LS can help her get what she needs.
