treeluva Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 My boyfriend and I broke up at the end of July. It wasn't because anything was necessarily wrong with the relationship or anything, it was more to do with the fact that he moved 1700 miles away to attend to FBI Academy. He sent me an email the day he started classes at the academy, September 11th. Since then, I have not heard one peep from him. Yesterday morning, I received an email from him. Nothing big, just saying that the academy was intense, demanding and busy, nothing else new to say, he hopes school is going well (I am currently in college) and that he hopes I have a great time in New Orleans for Christmas. I have not responded to this email as of yet, because really, I do not understand why he wrote me after not speaking to me for 3 months. Especially when there was no bad blood between us. I mean, sure, it hurt to hear his voice, so I am assuming it was the same for him because of the situation. Curious as to what this could mean? I know I am reading into it, and he probably just misses talking to me and it does not mean that he wants to get back together. Or maybe he is just testing the waters. I dont know. But I really dont know how to respond if I should respond at all.
DSM-IV Tom Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 He's going to be in the FBI? That is awesome. I love the FBI.
Cub Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Well, certainly wouldn't get my hopes up, but it is possible that he wants to get back together when he returns. Thing is, you still can't wait for him - continue moving on and if he wants to give it another try, he knows how to contact you.
