Kimi2464 Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 Hello guys, I'm new at the so bare with me Ok I need advice about (alert the media) a guy Ok here it goes. So, I am 21 and I was throwing back a few at a local bar that I usually go to because my best friend is a waitress there, so I go there alot. This bar is your average bar scene, it has about 10 pool tables, darts and karoke on certain nights. Well about 3 weeks ago a new face walks in and it was instantly love at first site. How he walked in with his head held up showed confindence, his smiling and welcoming face showed me that he wasn't a typical boobs man that just wanted to get laid (although I'm sure to him it wouldn't be a bad thing He looked like an all around nice guy. {Very cute might I add } I instantly wanted to get to know this guy! Well, As I was trying to build up the nerve to talk to him, he was looking through the karoke book and shortly swiped out a piece of paper wrote down something on it and submitted it to the karoke dj. Then he sat down and waited for his name to be called. So, I decided to go over and introduce myself, and wish him good luck for when he goes to sing. So, I walked up and introduced myself, and as I observed before, he was as wonderful as I thought! He was a very energetic person who welcomed me and talked to me as if we had been friends for a long time, he was a very nice guy, So we chatted a little bit about his tattoo and I wished him good luck and then his name was called. He sang, sounded awesome! {Which later we are going to find out that he is a lead singer in a band} So, after he sang I told him that he was awesome and he said thanks and I walked away just so that he wasn't obligated to stand and talk to me. Well about 10 minutes past and I was up dancing and he walked passed me and waved, so I waved back, and then I realized, the man of my dreams walked and waved his way out of my life, HE LEFT! I had a bad feeling I wouldn't ever see him again because my friend who is a waitress told me that she has never seen him before in the bar. So, I was bummed and went home and lived my three weeks a little sad but eventually got over it since there was nothing I could do about it. Well, this past Saturday, I was in there with a couple of friends who was also there when the whole {we'll call the guy Hank} Hank thing happened 3 weeks before, so then one of my friends said "Jen! Hank's here," then after I recovered from a small hyperventalating fit, I ran to my best friend and pointed him out. She then told me that this time we weren't going to give him the chance to leave without getting to know me. Ok, so here is a quick fact about me...I can be a little shy in the way of guys, but my best friend is very cool around guys. So, my best friend grabbed my hand and we headed over to the bar where he was sitting, she introduced herself then said, you remember Jen right? And he said oh yeah! How are you doing and we exchanged some nice words and it was my turn to shoot pool so I went to walked away but before I did my friend said "well I just wanted to make sure you remember Jen". Well, My pool game ended right there because my friend I was playing with knew I was a wreck knowing he was there that we just stopped playing and I went and sat at the other side of the bar from him. Well, As I was sitting at the bar I was talking to my best friend who was bartending at time, I must had been deep in the conversation with her because the next thing I know, I feel a tap on my shoulder and I hear, "Jen" I swung around and there he was, he came to me and said "Do you mind if I buy you a beer? {even though I despise beer, I choked it down so that we could chat} So, he sat by me and we talked about everything! How old we were, what schools we went to, where we were from, our hobbies, our families, his band, concerts, music, where we live, where we works, I even told him he should apply at my job and I would give a good word, Our favorite color is purple and green, we talked for a good 2 or 3 hours with occational breaks so he could go sing. He would sing and I would tell him how awesome he sounded and how good he looked performing, which he appreciated alot since he wants to become big with his band. Then, he suggested that we should go partying together, and go to concerts and raves and so I said well I will give you my number and we could get together sometime, and he was like yea yea give your number and I will give you mine and we can get together sometime, then he said, "what are you doing on Wednesday night?" And I said that I wasn't sure, he said well if you aren't doing anything you should come down to this local club and listen to me and my band perform, so i was like COOL! Yea that would be awesome! Then he asked me what times I work so that he can call me at a time that I am availiable. So, I told him and we talked some more. Well, then it was last call, and he gave me a hug and told me he was stoked that we got to hang out then it was time to go, he hugged me again, we hung around and walked my best friends to her car so that no one would harrass her. Then he walked me to my friends car where they were waiting for me and I offered him a ride since he walk {he lives like 5 blocks away} and I was like you sure you don't want a ride {I asked 1 time before this if he wanted us to take him home and he said he didn't live far and that he could walk, he didn't want to put anyone out} I told him it was no problem, then he said sure! If it is ok with the driver, it was ok and we took him home he hugged me again, told everyone in the car that it was nice meeting them and then told me that he would see me soon and that we will talk soon. And he motion for me to call or him to call I'm not sure he just put a "hand made" phone up to his ear and said we would talk soon. Well that was Saturday Night, it's Tuesday now and he hasn't called, My first question is... Should I call him On Wednesday before his gig at the club and just play it cool and tell him that me and my friend really wants to hear him and his band and if it is cool if we stop in, or should I leave it alone until he calls me. My other question, is...Do you think there is something there between us? Do you think he has any interest in me? What should I do???? Any thoughts on any of this would be greatly apprciated. Does it sound like he likes me any? Thank you for helping out! And thanks for reading this!!! I appreciate any help you guys would like to give me! Sorry this is so long!!!

quankanne Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 if you don't feel you're able to make that cold call, show up at his gig and let him know how excited you were for Wednesday night to arrive so you could see him again. I think I'd chicken out personally, I hate making cold calls. Showing up at the gig would be easier for someone like me. Whatever you decide, let him know that you're glad to chat with him.

yes Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 i wouldn't call. i'd go to the gig with some friends, simply wave to him, and see if he comes around to talk, if he introduces you to his friends, etc. -yes
