Is it too soon to ask him to go on a day trip with me?

I've been casually seeing a guy for 3 weeks. I live about 3 hrs from Atlantic City, and this weekend, a bunch of people are going down for 1 night for my little sister's 21st birthday. Is it too forward/clingy/psycho to ask the new guy to go down there w/ me?

It depends on how serious you are. I don't see any harm in asking/offering him to go. You aren't demanding!

Personally, I wouldn't. I don't bring a guy on long-term outings to meet my friends until he's officially a bf.

Also, it's your sister's birthday...If it were your birthday, I could almost see an excuse to invite him, but I'd be weirded out if a guy I'd been dating for three weeks asked me to go with him to his sister's/brother's 21st birthday out of town. Way too fast! I'd be flattered, but I'd wonder why he didn't want to focus on his sister/brother and his friends.

If I really liked the guy, I'd probably go and get over the weirdness. But if I was on the fence, or inching toward him, it'd push me backwards and potentially turn me off.

I say: Too much risk for too little reward. If he goes, it could be fun...but it'll be probably fun solo, no? And then you get to demonstrate your own full, fun life, by telling him stories later. Win-win. ;) Asking him could go okay, but it could definitely backfire. Is it worth it?
