motive2002 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Is it just me, or am I the only one that appears to be affected by what I like to call "seaonal dating"? I've noticed a pattern in a lot of my relationships that goes something like this: Meet someone new.. around fall or so. Spend the holidays together. Christmas, New Years.. Valentines Day:love:... Then.. BOOM, all of the sudden spring is right around the corner and "I just want to date other people" or "I need space" or, "It's just not working out" falls on my doorstep. I'm starting to come to the conclusion that some women seem to want a man during the holidays, when the weather is cold and snuggling up to a good movie is something they'd rather not do alone. Then when the weather gets nicer, and the fun and freedom of summer beckons in their soul, things start getting shaky. Can I have a girlfriend for the whole year? That would be nice =\
Gremio Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 That hasn't happened to me, but I understand what you mean. I'm a mid 20s male and some of my male friends have done that but I fail to see why. You're just setting yourself up to be miserable. It's all short term satisfaction.
SushiX Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I think this is just coincidence. I had a girl break up with me several days before valentines day. She met a new valentine. Why can't I find a normal girl for once? My god, I'm tired of these monkeys!

MN randomguy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Sounds plausible, I don't remember where I read, but, in the spring serotonin levels rise, more activity, higher testosterone levels male and female. People wear less clothes. They're looking for that hot piece of a$$. In the fall its more about long term thinking, want a LTR, someone to sustain them through the winter. Don't know what the solution is. Maybe hit the gym this winter??? Are you the guy a girl likes because you're such a great guy or are you the "hot guy"?
