Gremio Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I wouldn't approach him - I'd attract him. Bat your eyelashes and strut your stuff?? Do that walk with your hips, leg over leg, shakin' that thang. Haha
Isolde Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I wouldn't approach him - I'd attract him. See, that's where I'm stumped. I feel like I'm incapable of attracting people that I like in any but a physical way.
Angel1111 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Bat your eyelashes and strut your stuff?? Do that walk with your hips, leg over leg, shakin' that thang. Haha hee hee! Usually just a little bit of prolonged eye contact, followed by a killer smile will do the trick.
Isolde Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 hee hee! Usually just a little bit of prolonged eye contact, followed by a killer smile will do the trick. Maybe I need to try my luck at this prolonged eye contact thing. I always feel creepy when I start looking and then I avert my eyes.
Angel1111 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 See, that's where I'm stumped. I feel like I'm incapable of attracting people that I like in any but a physical way. Well, it's not really tricky at all. It's about being yourself and feeling the connection with him. If you really click with someone, they're typically going to click with you, too. If you're in a group of people where he's also present, all you need to do is laugh at his jokes (because you'll think he's funny), focus most of your attention on him, listen to him like he's the most interesting person in the room (because he is, right?), and compliment him. If he's a stranger but is looking at you, then just smile.
Angel1111 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Maybe I need to try my luck at this prolonged eye contact thing. I always feel creepy when I start looking and then I avert my eyes. Prolonged just means a tad longer than you would normally look at someone. This translates into about 3 seconds.
Isolde Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Prolonged just means a tad longer than you would normally look at someone. This translates into about 3 seconds. LOL... I thought it was more like 10 seconds. I guess that would be creep-o.
Gremio Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 LOL... I thought it was more like 10 seconds. I guess that would be creep-o. This old face came to mind.. O_O LoL
Angel1111 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 This old face came to mind.. O_O LoL That's a cute face! I've never seen that before.
Author shylight200 Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 So...I texted him today.... I regret it soo much, I should have listened to you Angel. No response..... But I picked today because I had a date today so I figured, if this guy rejects me, well then...it'll be ok because I have another guy that wants me. And I'm ok with him not texting me back, btw, I didn't text him anything pathetic...at least I hope not...., it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it might. I feel like an idiot, but other than that...I'm ok

prettybaby Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Aw! Well at least you know now. It hurts the ego a bit at first, but you'll feel so much better on the long run knowing that you didn't waste any opportunity and that you did as much as you could. Plus you didn't do anything desperate; a text is nice and casual, so don't feel stupid lol I don't think you "should have" necessarily listened to anyone telling you not to contact him at all. I mean, it was bothering you, you followed your feelings and now this case is closed; you know where you're standing, and you can move on without regrets Anyway, happy dating! lol
Author shylight200 Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 That's true. I think I always knew somewhere along the way he lost interest, but I just kinda wanted to know for sure. It sucks knowing, but I'm glad I did it cause now I won't have to ever worry about this again and can just move on. BTW, my date last night went ok....he seems attracted to me....at least physically...
