We been talking every night and hang out at school sometimes, but she refuses to go on date with me. She said she wants to get to know me better before we go on a date. Today she confessed that she likes this other guy name Jessie and he likes her too. And that they went out on a few dates. They’ve been friends for several months now. He was out of town but now he’s back! I feel like she lead me on probably just to fill in an empty void while he was out of town. Man, I feel so crushed and used! My heart is in pieces. Now I know why she didn’t want to go on date with me. Sighhhhh. I don’t know why I’m always falling for the wrong girls! So she says we can still be friends. After talking to her for 1 month, I think I’ve fallen for her. She’s everything I’ve been looking for and more. I know I should move on but I find it rather hard because all I can think about is her. And that song “Jessie’s girl” by Rick Springfield is driving me nuts! So my question is should I continue pursuing something that I may never have? What are the chances? I mean she only known him a few months, which isn’t too long. Should I wait or am I too late?

This is always a polite way of rejecting you. Think about it. If there was a girl you liked, and you ran into her one day and you guys were talking for a bit before she asked you out, would you tell her, "I want to get to know you better before we date." Of course not. Besides, the whole freakin point of dating in the beginning IS to get to know someone better. A girl once said that to me and I said back, "What do you mean by that? Listen, if you don't want to go out then just tell me. I'm a big boy, I can take it. I'd rather you be direct than beat around the bush." She responds back, "I don't knowwwww...." in a whiny tone. I just said back, "Ok, cool. I'm giving you the perfect chance to turn me down but for whatever reason you're still playing games. SEE YA!" It's amazing how even when you offer them the chance to be direct on a silver platter, they still can't give a straight answer. -_- Anyway, forget this girl.
