I am recently out of a long relationship.. and have been dating online for a month now. . I got a message from a guy, recently... we've been talking and he seems to be highly compatible to my needs... I met him once before, for about 10 minutes.. just to say hi... and now I went ahead and agreed to a real date on Tuesday...

Where can we go that is a good opp to show him my romantic/sexy side as well as show of my fun personality.

We both have children so I don't want him to think I'm not goofy and funny.. but I don't want him to think that I'm not romantically and sexually attracted to him... becuase I certainly am!!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Firstly.. put put golf could not work becuase we are in illinois and it is COLD!! thanks for the suggestion though.

Secondly.. I worded it like that.. well not to sound over invested in this man, by saying he is THE MAN OF MY DREAMS! He is perfect for me more than anyone else, at least that i have ever me.. thats why it was worded like that!! LOL

As a VERY experienced online dater, I can tell you that you are looking for trouble by thinking he is the "man of your dreams". I am not saying you can't find a compatible match right away, but my experience has been that anyone can pretend to be what you are looking for when it is written out in a profile. I still online date (have met over 20 of them for dates), but just keep it fun and never expect a night in shining armor. If you expect that, especially right away, you will most likely get hurt.

I say meet up in a public place like a coffee shop or cute restaurant, have conversation, then for the second date (if there is one) you can go on to something more active. Let one of your friends know where you are meeting and have them check in. Just be careful and try not to put all your "eggs in one basket", if you know what I mean.

As a woman why don't you just tell him that he should plan the date... that way its up to him to think up something good. Going to a wine bar could be good
