I understand what you're saying.. but prostitution is not always 'glamour' like escorts are.. some are 'undergroud', in fact, most are...

 

If they legalize it.. these pimps who force young women to prostitute would be 'legal' and the system wouldn't have any course against those abusers..

 

I think it is better the way it is.. police don't go after 'single' escort who mind their own business... they try to find the underground networks.. drug dealers, slavery, women trafficking.. etc.

You have a point in trying to normalize illegal action, but as a blanket statement it has no value: 1) prostitution is legal in much of the rest of the civilised world so for the most part this is a stupid american law rather than universally accepted crime, and 2) if nobody is harmed, let people use their heads to determine what's appropriate or not, rather than keep telling them what is. I've heard blowjobs are still illegal in some states. This might be an urban myth, but if it wasn't has this stopped you?

Think where it could lead? All women would be entitled to charge a minimum rate for sex. Women who fell in love, declared their love and got ditched later on could potentially sue for back-payments inclusive of special premium rates later on, provided they could provide relevant evidence. Hearing the words "I love you" would fill men with a new kind of terror. "Let's film us having sex..." would seem less like a fun, kinky thing to do and more of a smart business move..

 

Contracts would be required. "The parties agree to not become emotionally attached." "The parties agree that some level of emotional attachment may occur, but that this will not extend into full blown love."

 

I'd go back into the legal profession and make a killing. People on this board could get jobs helping to draft legislation that defines where emotional attachment begins, and where it transforms into love.

 

Now that sounds like real power. Never mind all this "treat me nice and I'll blow you later" rubbish.

 

Would it be cheaper, legally smarter and more efficient to create a one-stop shop corporation that either sold or lent women out to men?

 

A very dark question. I think prostitution demoralizes women, but its the world's oldest profession and will probably remain this for some time to come.

I am just curious about this.... For men that have been with a lot of hookers/call girls/prostitutes, are hookers really that much better in bed than a normal "civilian" woman? I already know about the variety factor, of course men want variety. James is actually right. I have seen and met a few of the customers of my friends business. They look and act like absolutely normal guys. Some of them I was really shocked that they were using her service to see her girls....but on the flip side the girls that she employs are very normal, educated, attractive girls. I think the men that go so far as to post on hooker boards are obsessed and not the normal ones. I have found my friends escort service to be very 'educational' for me. I have learned that a shocking majority of society use escorts or prostitutes at least once in their life... we are talking about regular men.

I guess you have to define "normal". In my industry there are A LOT of men who look and act fairly normal. They're a pretty good-looking bunch of guys who tend towards being charming salesman. What you don't realize is that many of them aren't only married or in committed relationships, they also have a betty on the side. Infidelity is rampant amongst these risk-takers. Even many of the single men are like this. Self-entitled 'cause they have too much spending money in their pockets and there are enough women who are willing to bend over for a few dollars.

 

Is this normal? It is in my industry. Is this normal for all men? I truly hope not.

It's legal and regulated in Australia, legalised brothels etc. Public solicitation is still illegal, and advertising is regulated as well by Prostitution Licensing Authority.
