spookie Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 So... I don't know if this belongs in the dating section, but here goes. I'm stoned in a coffeeshop. I'm wearing shades, cause my face is painted like a clown's. In 40 minutes I'm supposed to meet a coworker and a few of his friends at a bar for some drinks. How adult-like. WTF do I do? Instinct: get smashed, call him to pick me up. But something tells me I don't want a reputation for an alcoholic train wreck on top of "crazy".
underpants Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 WTF do I do? I don't think it would be wise to mix your crazy side with your work side. Perhaps you could cancel. Or have ONE drink, be cordial and leave. Make it a little game. Then go back to your apartment and tie one on with the cockroach. Don't call your boss to pick you up. Bad move.
underpants Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Why the clown makeup? I'm assuming that she applied make up when high.
Citizen Erased Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Why the clown makeup? To match the clown suit. Duh.
JamesM Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Now I am curious as to how spookie is at this moment. Spookie, update when sober, please.
SoulSearch_CO Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I'm so lost as to how to respond to this. LOL Let us know what you decided, Spookie. I'd be interested in this update.
Author spookie Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Well, I went. I didn't have time to go home and wash off my makeup and find something cute to wear, so I went as I was. In the clownsuit, wearing the shades. (jk) Mike started teasing me about the sunglasses, so I took them off. The look of shock on his face as he looked at mine was distinguishable, but Mike's kinda a funny guy, his eyes don't really focus on anything, so it wasn't too awkward. Not any more awkward than talking to him normally, anyway. I had a couple of beers (my rule of thumb for staying away from being an alcoholic is, never drink alone, and when drinking with other people, never drink more than the median plus one-fourth is drinking. and everyone clearly had had a couple when I got there. So I drank 6), Mike told a couple of hilarious stories, and then we went to somebody's house to play Rock Band. It was awesome, I love that game. His friends also seemed to really like me and invited me to start playing poker with them on Fridays. So, go clownsuit.
