I don't understand why some people assume that people want to date people with the same physical traits. I'm 6'4" 215# and have had 5'0" women want to make not so short babies with me. :) This particular girl didn't float my boat for other reasons. But, I think its actually logical what she was doing.

I want to make lighter faster babies with a woman some day. I love the willowy, lean triathlete/marathon runner type.

Everyone seems to have something against short babies, though. Being short is constantly being looked down upon (and I don't mean literally)- being short is a great thing. I am 5'1" and I love my height. I would not want to even be a centimeter taller. I am tired of short men with their Napoleon complexes. Embrace it boys, short is sexy.

Yes, people seem to be forgetting, absolutely nothing can be changed about a guy if he is short...

Women, if they are having a big enough complex about it, can shell out the thousands of dollars needed for both liposuction and breast implants, completely alleviating two of the biggest concerns women have about their bodies.

Men can do something about hairloss, men can get liposuction too, men can workout, work harder for more money, and buy more stylish clothes. But if he is short, there is absolutely nothing he can do about it.

Actually, there is a surgery to increase height by up to 6 inches. It's a pretty gruesome procedure that involves cutting a gap in the bones in the legs, which forces them to grow into the gap. Also involves being in a wheelchair for almost a year. But just for the record there is a way for those desperate and crazy enough! :D Another tidbit about height. Americans are shorter on average than a lot of Europeans in part because their diets are so poor.

I love shorter guys. Seriously!! I would much rather date a guy that is 5'4''-5'7'' than one that is taller. I am 5'4'' 1/2 - 5'5''.

Well, any man taller than 5'1" IS taller than you. But to be that height, and requiring he be 5'10" or 6 feet is quite limiting.

Speaking of which...that's like me saying that I ONLY require dating women with D cups or larger.

Well, my physical preference is mostly attuned to weight to be honest. I love the super skinny dude, just can't help it. The "lead guitarist/rock star pyhsique" is what does it for me.

SO, if my dude is only 5'4 and that skinny, he is going to be a very small human. SO, to keep with what I find sexy, they do tend to be a bit taller than that.

There was one guy who was 5'6 that I would have MARRIED, but he "didn't believe in marriage" so I moved on to my 6'2 ex husband.:D

If a guy only goes for D-cups, I say...GO FOR IT!

If a guy only wants blondes or brunettes or redheads or black-haired women, I say... GO FOR IT!

If a guy only wants purple people eaters, I say...GO FOR IT!

Your life, your choice.

Having said that, if you're going to discount people, expect that your dating pool is going to get smaller. C'est la vie, shut up and stop whining!

I agree...short men rock. I think 5'5" is the perfect male height. Of course if I liked someone, I would like him regardless of height, but still, short men= perfect. :)

I was seeing a guy who was 6'6" for a bit...it didn't feel right to me...it felt awkward and very unnatural.

The sooner men realize they don't need a woman the better. I am short and I have never cared about my height and I have never been knowingly rejected for my height. I enjoy being 5'9, it is easy for me to find clothes, my body is in porportion, I feel complete. Women to me are an accessory to this, what do you do with a bag when it becomes old and tattered? You bin it and get another one and that's the method I use with women. Far too many men allow women to dictate their life, it's beyond sad.

5'9 is the average height of American males, it's not short.

It's so funny all this whining about height. Why is it the only people who seem to think about height are women under 5'5 and men under 5'11? Most taller people never even think about height.

This is not true. My 6'11 tall brother in law always pays attention to his height. He has to make sure he doesn't bang his head on chandeliers or doorways.

It's not your height that's unattractive. It's your attitude. Women are human beings, not bags. I doubt you would like it if women talked about you like that. I suspect you've been heartbroken and have become bitter.

Never been heartbroken, never been in love, never had any real feelings for a woman. As sad as it is or say my therapist says!

True. I have lived in two European countries, and though I am tall, I was completely average in height over there, and very few men were shorter than I.
