movingonandon Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 [quote=movingonandon;2002778]There is no shoe more comfortable by the (roper type) plain cowboy boot, and there is no shoe that looks better with jeans As for the leather jackets: A better casual jacket for men is yet to be invented. (Too bad you can't see me in mine - you'd forget instantly about these, and all other "dealbreakers" :)) Maybe its a Regional Thing. I'm in NY, this is how you might look to us: http://bangbangbandit.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/midnight_cowboy2.jpg Not that there is anything wrong with that. If thats what you like. Which I dont. hehe, a 30 yr old movie poster that purposefully exaggerates the province-big city conflict is the best u can hit me with ??? I live in a beef state, but even here nobody in their right mind would ever consider wearing boots, western shirt, western jacket, and a hat all at once (unless they're actually a cowboy with native indian origins). Leather is cool and no amount of offended girlie sensibilities can do anything about that
ruggy Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Oh, u'r pimpin', brotha. So this thread continues its unstoppable descent from things that could arguably qualify as "dealbreakers" to "things that most people would find mildly annoying at best, unless they're tuff&special ho, like muselvz, in which case i ain't havin' it" Tru dat. Word. And I knows the wines. Pee no are. Mer a lot, Sa rise. All good stuff. Daank it by da gallon yo.
Asami Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 My list of deal breakers -misogynistic -verbally/physically abusive -cheater -too lazy to have/keep a job -miserly/cheap mean and stingyness to the extreme -smokers
audrey_1 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Is that someone who burps in the bathroom while taking a dump? (<-- that face is red from the pushing...) Damn, now I guess we'll have to add: - potty humor to the list... Sorry - I'm not usually a spelling Nazi, but anyone who makes such a big deal out of vocabulary and literary exposure, and also manages to work in her PhD, pretty much deserves to have it pointed out that the "e" is not close enough to the "a" on the keyboard to credibly claim that it was just a typo. Jus' stirrin' the pot, boss - stirrin' the pot... ( Is a movie line - mis-quoted for comedic effect - still a deal breaker? ) Touche I suppose. Let me add one more: 11. Self-appointed internet chat room hall monitors scouring page after page of posting, looking anxiously for that one glorious, delicious moment when they can take an innocent typo (done on a quick post by a person with three broken fingers on her right hand and four on her left) and turn it into their crowning achievement of the day. And then I said, like Oh SNAP, that be soooo clever" - also a movie quote. Tru dat. Word. And I knows the wines. Pee no are. Mer a lot, Sa rise. All good stuff. Daank it by da gallon yo. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Thanks for that huge, gut shaking laugh.
PinkKittyKat Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 -watches/downloads porn -verbally/physically abusive -hunts/hurts animals -racist -misogynistic -homophobic -cheats -has kids That's pretty much it... All those have been dealbreakers at some point, or would be. I'm WAY fine with most of the "dealbreakers" or "turnoffs" by some really judgemental picky women in here LOL Video game fanatic(I LOVE video games!) recreational drug use(as long as they aren't addicted) joblessness(**** happens) crying(I find it refreshing when my bf cries and needs my support, he's a sweetheart, and a sucker for sad cat stories. I'd also rather have a guy that expresses his real human emotions than represses them so he can be a stoic macho idiot.) hairy(he shaves) can't drive(My current bf is the only driver I have ever dated, I never really understood this requirement some women have...)
griffinchicken53 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 wut is rong with a gie that kant spell? sucks i sort of fit some of these bad characteristics, but not intentional. medical issues means no money, debt, and living at home. i'm a nice guy, been told i'm really funny. just hit a low point.

I think that the no porn requirement eliminates about 70-80% of all men (i.e. everybody who has internet access). would you really like to date a guy with no internet??? as for the no hunting requirement, have you thought that hunting is way more humane than breeding animals in horrible conditions to be killed with no chance of survival? if you hunt, the animal at least has a chance to outsmart/outskill you. I continue to find it highly amusing that this thread stays alive. There was a similar thread for men, and it died pretty quickly after we covered "fat", "old", "entitled" and "bitch"/"psycho", or something like that
39388 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Mental and emotional issues such as?? Seems like the guys who go without sex for decades instead of securing a callgirl are the ones with mental and emotional issues... I'd say Elliot Spitzer is a much more balanced than some of the guys on LS that can't get any and refuse to pay for it... Some men can't get any because women play games constantly. They only want the idiot badboys.

Not surprising, though. Women are far choosier when selecting mates: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/09/03/tech/main3229336.shtml
mr.dream merchant Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I think all men can whole heartedly agree from reading this thread Women don't know what the hell they want.
ruggy Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Well, it seems someone with the body of Hercules. Brains of Albert Einstein. Manners of a 19th century English gentleman. Any takers? I always enjoy a good challenge. I'm game in this wonderful game called ______________.
Trialbyfire Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I think all men can whole heartedly agree from reading this thread Women don't know what the hell they want. Inaccurate. Women are stating what they want, as individuals. Whether each man fits individual criteria is moot.
Isolde Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Assuming that I am attracted physically, here are my deal breakers... Jerks Pompous Guys Guys that are less ambitious than me (I'm not a Type A person, but I like the guy to be more inclined towards that than I am) Heavy smokers Guys who don't shower Very loud, showy, aggressive guys Guys that aren't capable of writing a good paragraph of English Guys that don't like physical affection And my #1 deal breaker: Guys that don't seem to enjoy my company. And my #1 turn on: scientists and engineers... mmm...
Jersey Shortie Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I think that the no porn requirement eliminates about 70-80% of all men (i.e. everybody who has internet access). would you really like to date a guy with no internet??? Yes, I know I would. Today's men spend too much time on crap like porn. Completely distorts their view of normal women with normal bodies. Normal women aren't good enough for men anymore. Now every average joe thinks he deserves a 3some with twin 18 year olds that have been surgically enhanced. This is not the kind of stuff that makes men better or more honorable. I think porn has ruined alot of men saddly. It would be wonderful to meet a man that was not addicted to having the internet and porn at his finger tips. I bet many women agree. It would be wonderful to have men that were content and happy and apprecitive of what he had instead of always indirectly looking for the bigger better deal on the internet.
Jo78 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I wrote that and fortunately for me I have no problem finding women to date on a regular basis. If having a realistic view of life is off putting for you then off you go sugar pants. Oh stop!!! You are too funny!!! :lmao::lmao:

The Porning of the American Male raises an interesting point. For many men suckling on the Porn Teat, are regular women, by stint of being regular, ie, not phreak show porn star, unacceptable? Is a woman, by being within the mainstream sexually, unacceptable. If she doesn't f#ck like a porn star, is that a deal breaker? I wonder how many of these porn fanboys would feel if the tables were turned?
V.Vixen Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I didn't see this until now! Mine are: not funny racist/bigot irresponsible lives with parents with no plans to move soon. out of shape slob hairy back! self centered egotistical hot tempered poor communicator metro/pretty boys closed minded

Trimmer Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Guys that are less ambitious than me (I'm not a Type A person, but I like the guy to be more inclined towards that than I am) Reminds me of the "can't be stupider than me" requirement from a few posts back... I can't help thinking of this kinda like a technical specification for a piece of equipment in a government procurement contract: The successful bidder shall be no less ambitious and no more stupid than the existing entity in the proposed relationship. For hairy back, refer to Subsection 4.3.1.5.2: "Termination with prejudice." And my #1 turn on: scientists and engineers... mmm... Ahhh... now someone's talking some sense!
Hersheys Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 -talks about exes too much -wears lousy/dirty shoes -body odor -very loud and talks too much -tries too hard to be the life of the party (ugh) -obnoxious party boys -wears too much hair products (ugh) -proudly admits that he's a player (ugh) -too touchy feely with girls in public -liars -just got out of a long term relationship and still reeling from the break up (no f**** way!)
jasminetea Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I only have one deal breaker - lack of integrity
