Communication chemistry a necessity from the get-go?

I feel like my 2.5 year relationship is lacking the strong communication/personality chemistry I see in others.

The so in-synch finish each others sentences kind. Being able to know what the other person is thinking/feeling and being able to relate easily. Sharing the same humor.

I envy other couples that have this.

Is something that can be learned over time?

From your two threads I'm inclined to believe you have been in few relationships. Before you go and assault me for assuming let me explain.

Your attitude (written) conveys a very conservative nature. I personally think that you feel that relationships are a means to an end. That once you have one you felt better about it, but now that you are in an extensive relationship with someone you have nothing to look foward to now.

Your whole "goal" of life up to this point was to find someone who you could be with, but now that you found them...now what? Remember this.

A girlfriend is a girlFRIEND. Do stuff you both enjoy, but remember that you don't have to do everything together. Sometimes doing your own things (together) is just as fun. I.E. You read a book while she draws, or something to that effect. Try something new and exciting. Take Tai-Chi classes, dance classes, go for a stroll with no set destination and just talk while taking in the sights.

Try something different and see how you feel about her then. If she said she is the one (as portrayed in your other thread.) then you already know how she feels about you. You need to find out, and find out SOON how you really feel about her.

2.5y together is about the length of time people date before becoming engaged/married. If you do like her alot and realize that then your next step is proposing. If not, then your next step is talking about how you might need to seperate or wait a bit longer.

Good Luck Mate.
